After owning an AVP for a week before returning it, I was finally able to use a VR headset for what I originally needed… playing Xbox games remotely. I’ve played Starfield, Baldur’s Gate 3, and Smalland extensively, and it works beautifully. Very quick, zero lag except for an occasional hiccup every couple of hours from my WiFi router. After attempting to acclimate myself to the AVP’s tricky hand motion controls, using the Q3 controllers to navigate menus and controls was so much easier and precise. The only minus is not being able to remotely play at 1080p instead of 4k, but that’s a limit placed on remote gaming by Microsoft, not Quest. Even so, playing a video game on a virtual 100”+ screen is amazing. And it frees up our living room TV so my wife can use it for what she wants to watch while I’m gaming. There are a lot of other bonuses to owning the Q3, such as watching movies and 3-D content on a very-large, customizable, virtual screen. My only recommendation is to also purchase a charging station with rechargeable batteries for the controller… otherwise you’ll end up replacing alkaline batteries on a regular basis. And a storage/carrying case comes in handy, as well.

The Meta Quest 3 is an impressive upgrade and easily the best standalone VR headset I’ve used. The visuals are noticeably sharper, with much clearer text and far less screen-door effect compared to previous generations. The improved processing power really shows—games and apps run smoother, load faster, and look more detailed. Wireless freedom is a huge plus. Being able to jump into VR without cables makes a big difference for immersion and convenience. Mixed reality features are surprisingly useful as well, especially for room-scale play and casual experiences. The headset feels lighter and more comfortable than expected, even during longer sessions. The 512GB storage option is absolutely worth it if you plan to download multiple games and apps without worrying about space. Setup was quick, tracking is accurate, and the overall experience feels polished and future-proof. Highly recommend this headset to both newcomers to VR and anyone upgrading from an older model.

I use it every day. It's a great way to force yourself to move for at least an hour at a time. Not a fan of the base battery life or headband, but an aftermarket solution solved that .

If you’re on the fence, whether it be because, of the money or you own a quest 2 and not sure if it’s worth it. I will say this, those were my thoughts.. Until I pulled the trigger, I will never regret it. The graphics upgrades are crystal clear compared to the quest 2. Everything is more compatible. More adjustable. Faster speeds and just overall 10 fold upgrade and experience compared to its previous model! Just BUY it’ll be the BEST!

I have been using the Oculus Quest and HTC Vive for years and had been holding off playing Half Life: Alyx until I got the Valve Index. Well I started playing it on the Quest anyway and realized a few things. External tracking isn't great because of the blind spots and extra cables. Visually, the pixels too visible, the screen likes to fog, and I had eye strain. So I decided to upgrade. I discovered that the Quest 3 has better resolution than the Index, pancake lenses, and lighter in weight. And the additional benefits such as AR, stand-alone VR, PCVR, and some things you can even do without even using the controllers with hand tracking. Also, the visual quality is great, and I don't get eye strain at all! It will fog but not as quickly or to thebsame extent as the original Quest. I do prefer to PCVR with a cable even though it's not mandatory. There's some room for improvement of course. Hand tracking would be nice if it extended into more apps. PCVR should be able to activate both wireless and wired automatically-currently you have to manually change the settings-if you enable wired it disables wireless and vice versa. There is an issue when using SteamVR where an alert says you don't have enough vram but it always plays just fine. Users online haven't found a solution to this yet. Overall I think it's a great headset. The tracking is flawless. The price is competitive. And even though I don't really like Meta this was the best choice for me.

I am very impressed with this iteration. Color mixed reality mode is very cool, the hand tracking and space mapping are hugely improved, and 512gb means I have plenty of space for everything. The fit and comfort are pretty good, but the elite strap makes a big difference. The only major downside is the battery life is abysmal. Even with brightness turned all the way down, this thing chews through its battery like nobody’s business. I recommend getting the elite strap with extra battery if you, like me, want to spend hours at a time playing.

The Meta Quest 3 completely exceeded my expectations. The clarity and mixed reality features are mind-blowing, and it runs so smoothly. I was especially impressed by how lightweight and comfortable it is for extended use. Even my wife, who never games, found it fun and intuitive, which I never expected! As a new dad with a newborn son, I couldn’t watch TV or play console games too loud without disturbing him, so this became the perfect immersive solution. I can quietly enjoy movies, games, and experiences without waking the baby. It’s hands-down one of the best tech purchases I’ve made.

This Quest 3 is one of the best VR/MR headsets I've ever owned, for starters, it has a Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor delivering double the gpu power compared to the quest 2. And graphics are amazing thanks to the pancake lenses along with 58-70 mm IPD adjustment ensuring you have the best experience.

I've had many VR headsets, this one is great because 1. it's wireless and 2. mixed reality is a blast to mess around with! Battery life is okay, but can be expanded easily. The best thing about it though is that it's COMFORTABLE. If you've used a lot of headsets, you know that usually you have to swap things to make it ergonomic. The Q3 is pretty cozy right out of the box, made even better with the elite strap.

Wow! What a VR headset. The graphics are stunning and the experience is incredible. Way better than the 2, which I own. Battery life is meh, but get a after market halo strap with batteries and you can VR all day if you wish. The sound quality is great and actually quite loud all by itself. The paddles are comfortable, but the battery life is nowhere near as good as the previous model.

Overall some nice improvements from Q2. Pancake lenses which make it much sharper. A small improvement in graphics. And better sound. I was excited for pass through. I shouldn't have been. It's super grainy and I quickly realized I like VR for the feeling of being inside something. The downs are horrible comfort (plan to buy a new headstrap) and the size choices. For the price the entry level should have been 256gb. I think for most the 128gb will suffice. I purchased the 512 to future proof it against larger size games.

Always a very pleasant experience at Best Buy! Their people are always on point very helpful ready to assist. Had the Quest 3 in-stock Regular VR headset user here recently upgraded from the Quest 2 to Queat 3 and I am so glad i did! Played the old one until it was falling apart lol. The graphics, features definitely better. Way more user friendly and one of the best parts for me the headset has more ways to adjust for comfort and is lighter weight.
