Having bought it and already having to travel out of state with it, its worked perfectly the whole way through. The augmented reality is incredible and the hand tracking, while a little finicky, are also still amazing and fun to use which helps a ton with the immersion. Only people I wouldn't recommend it to are people who get motion sickness easily such as myself, even though I'd still urge them to try it. (If I can do it, so can you, trust me). One other thing I will add is that the head straps are 10x more comfortable then the previous ones.

After watching him play and seeing what it has to offer, I bought myself one! Love getting Meta Horizon+ free for 3 months while we try out different styles of games. So far the Supernatural workout game has been awesome (even for me and I hate working out), and Demo is such a cool version of tabletop gaming!

This was a huge leap forward from that. The resolution is amazing, as well as the sound from those small over ear speakers. Mixed reality is great - although it suffers in dimly lit rooms. Using VirtualDesktop I can also stream PC games easily.

If you want something better, its going to cost twice the price and be a marginal upgrade at best. So if you really want a worthwhile upgrade, its going to cost 5x.

I had the Quest 2 before this one. The optics in the 3 are so much nicer. Being able to use XR apps with pass through is next level. The audio without using headphones is MUCH better as well. I can hear everything clearly with good surround. I now prefer to use without headphones or earbuds on this one. As quality of games increase with this devices higher specs, more and more games are going to ALSO have larger file sizes, so I'd definitely suggest getting the 512g version over the 128gb. Unless you intend to do very little gaming on the headset or use PCVR almost exclusively you *will* run out of space on the 128GB. I bought the 128GB version first, and ended up selling it and buying the 512gb because I was annoyed with uninstalling games to install different ones.
