Way better than quest 2 by far. The lenses and color passthrough is good. The passthrough isnt crystal clear like you see in videos though. The resolution is def better as well. First time setup is also very simple. Its also very comfortable out of the box. If i didnt get sick from it i def would have kept it. I compared it to my friends quest 2. The difference is astounding. If you dont get sick id highly recommend it for sure. Vr is pretty amazing thats for sure.

Meta Quest 3 Review: A Seamless VR Experience I recently had the chance to use the Meta Quest 3, and my experience can only be described as seamless. From setup to gameplay, the device consistently impressed me with its performance and ease of use. Setup and Onboarding Getting started with the Meta Quest 3 was incredibly straightforward. The initial setup process was intuitive, with clear instructions guiding me every step of the way. It felt like Meta really focused on making the device accessible to both VR veterans and newcomers alike. Performance and Graphics The hardware upgrade is noticeable. The visuals are sharper, and the higher resolution delivers a more immersive experience. Whether I was exploring virtual worlds or playing fast-paced games, everything felt smooth, with minimal latency. The improved processor clearly makes a difference in handling demanding apps without a hitch. Comfort and Design The headset is lighter and more comfortable than its predecessor, making it easy to wear for extended periods. The redesigned straps and cushioning enhance the overall fit, and the device feels secure without being bulky. Features and Usability The mixed-reality (MR) features were a standout. The ability to seamlessly switch between VR and MR experiences added a new layer of versatility. Hand tracking and the new controllers felt precise and responsive, contributing to a natural and immersive experience. Battery Life and Connectivity Battery life was decent, lasting several hours on a single charge. Connectivity was stable, and pairing with other devices was hassle-free. I also appreciated how seamless it was to integrate with the Meta ecosystem and apps. Overall Experience In short, the Meta Quest 3 delivers on its promise of a next-level VR experience. Whether you’re gaming, exploring, or creating, the device offers a smooth, immersive journey that feels effortless. Meta has truly raised the bar with this release, and I can’t wait to see how developers will take advantage of its capabilities. If you’re looking for a high-performance, user-friendly VR headset, the Meta Quest 3 is worth every penny.

Definitely less enjoyable if you wear glasses

There are several Meta Quest models now, and version 3 is one of the top choices. This particular model offers a higher resolution LCD display of 2064 x 2208 pixels and 120Hz, as well as a lot more storage at 512 gigs, compared to lesser models. It also offers more sophisticated cameras on the front to track your hands/controllers as well as the environment around you when you are moving around while wearing the headset. Setup is ok, but a little fiddly. The head strap “harness” has a few ways to adjust it on the top and back, and it can take a while to find the right fit to make the Quest 3 as comfortable as possible on your head. There’s a foam insert surrounding the face area that also has tiny buttons on each side of the inside with 4 levels you can use to pull it out a bit, and there are very fiddly to use – it’s easy to accidentally pull out the whole face insert! Though you can pop it back in easy enough. This is allegedly to allow you to be able to wear glasses while using the headset, but in my case, this didn’t work. More on that later. If you have an existing Facebook account, you can sign in with that once you charge up the Quest 3 via the USB-C port on the left side, or create a new account in the phone app you’ll download as a companion to the device. It does take a bit and mine came almost completely drained, so charge it first before setting it up. The Quest 3 has to go through initial setup routines, download a software update, and connect the two hand controllers to it’s system, so expect to make an evening of it to get it all done. There were a couple of glitches in the app during setup where it couldn’t find a hand controller, but then it did, then not the other, then it did, lost the WiFi connection, then found it, etc. You get the idea – patience is a virtue during setup. Once set up initially, the Quest 3 will want to create a map of the room you’re in so you won’t walk into things while using it. This can take a few minutes, and you turn your head in all direction to map things out (you can redo it whenever you want or to reorient things). Virtual screens hover in the air in front of you so you can adjust settings, create an Avatar that represents you when in the virtual world, shop the app store to download apps to use in the store, or use a browser to surf, or even watch shows on Youtube or Netflix. When needed, a keyboard can also pop up so you can enter your info. Now, you are supposed to be able to see virtual hands when you hold your hands out that you can use in place of the controllers for certain activities, but mine, so far, has been a bit buggy… mine will appear and begin to work, then disappear, causing me to fall back on the controllers. In a couple of cases, the controllers stop working, only to be replace by the hands. Ugh. My big complaint is that even though they say you can use the Quest 3 if you wear glasses, this is not always the case. I use reading type glasses for various things, that can vary from 1.25 to 2.50 strengths depending on what I’m doing. I have those and a few other variations, and I tried EVERY one of them, and even fiddling with all 4 levels of adjustments and a wheel on the bottom of the headset that adults the “IPD (Interpupillary Distance) adjustment wheel”, that adjusts the width of the two inner lenses. It’s NOT a “focus” adjustment – it just varies the width, and did little good. In every case with every pair of glasses, everything ranges from bad to really bad in terms of clarity. I found that really, just not wearing glasses at all helped some, but as of the time of this writing, I still haven’t been able to get what I would call “sharp” clarity from the headset regardless of settings, controls, or apps. If you wear prescription lenses, you can order a set from Meta to replace what comes with the headset, at an additional cost, that may work depending on your eyesight circumstances. Games and apps can vary from fully submersible, in which all you see is the activity in the app, to a pass-through where you can somewhat see the room you are in through the front cameras while a virtual environment plays on top of it, such as an initial game where you shoot fuzzy aliens as they seem to bust through your ceiling and walls. More elaborate games make you a part of them, such as the included (with mine) Batman Arkham Shadow game, which allows you to take on the roll of Batman as though you’re looking through his eyes, maneuvering around Gotham and battling villains. It can be disorienting until you get used to VR, and caution is needed when standing to play these games, but you do get the hang of it. You can of course seek out other things like tourism or nature apps that simply allow you to be someplace else. Search for free ones online because a lot of them via the store are pay apps and range in prices from as little as $1.99 each all the way to $49.99 and higher. When fully charged, the battery indicator shows about 2 hours and 30 minutes charge (give or take). The more elaborate the app, the quicker it can drain the battery, though. The included charger takes a couple of hours or so to recharge the Quest 3. I wish they could have put a bigger battery in the device, being honest. Time runs out quickly when you get into it. I tried to use an extended cable and charge while I used it, but it seems to drain the battery faster than it can charge it that way. The controllers are powered by AA batteries, and you can use rechargeable batteries if you prefer. They’re comfortable to hold and have wrist straps so you don’t sling them around the room when using them. You can do some tasks using just one, but many times both are required unless you enable hand tracking in the settings area, in which case you can use your virtual hands to control things (kind of hit and miss in my use). A charging dock (sold separately) will allow you to charge your Quest via 4 small pin connections, as well as the controllers if you use rechargeable batteries in them. I can only speak about my experience with the Quest 3, as it has a huge following of people who love it. However, due to the incompatibility of my being able to use my reader type glasses with it and not being able to get a sharp viewing experience, I’m a bit disappointed with the performance of it. It still has it’s neat moments with some apps, and it can be entertaining, but much less so if you’re not able to get that sharp image you need. I think it would not be hard to put a TRUE dioptric type of focusing mechanism in a future version of this and not just a IPD wheel, so even people with glasses of any type could forego having to use them at all. I would say if you have good vision and don’t mind a lot of pay apps to fully enjoy the Quest 3, you will find it entertaining. If you wear glasses, be aware of possible complications and incompatibility issues out of the box, or having to order prescription inserts at an additional cost, and perhaps wait for a more refined future model with better adjustment controls. So I would say that in my case, I’m a bit disappointed with the Quest 3 as my expectations were perhaps higher than the device, but your mileage may vary depending on your circumstances. I would recommend this, with reservations talked about above.

The Meta Quest 3 512GB is a big step forward in standalone VR. It offers sharp, vibrant visuals, improved mixed-reality passthrough, and great performance thanks to its new Snapdragon chip. The larger storage is perfect for heavy gamers and media users, so you won’t have to constantly delete apps. Comfort is better than past models, and the new Touch controllers feel more natural. Battery life is around 2–3 hours, which is standard for VR headsets. Overall, it’s an impressive, all-in-one system that feels future-ready. If you want the best Quest experience without worrying about running out of space, the 512GB model is worth it.

This is my first true virtual reality experience. I am completely blown away. The immersive experience is absolutely unreal. I feel like I'm living in the future. I feel like Tony Stark. __________ One thing I was always worried about with a VR headset is being able to see around me. Well, the Meta Quest 3 put those worries to rest with the passthrough feature. With a simple double tap on the side of the header you can see your surroundings at any time. The menus float around you in passthrough, or you can just close them out, giving you the ability to look around as if you're practically wearing nothing. _________ In certain apps, you can also set up boundaries for yourself. This allows you to create your own virtual safe space. If you leave your safe space the area will highlight red alerting you that you are about to knock into an object that is outside your safe zone. __________ Another concern of mine and probably one of the major reasons I held off on getting a VR headset is I can't see anything without my glasses. Again, meta puts these worries to rest as you can comfortably wear the meta quest 3 with your prescription glasses. _______ The screen quality and what is being projected to you is fantastic. You really feel like you are in or at whatever you are immersed in. Whether that's traveling the world or playing games. You truly feel there. The field of view is incredible. _______ The sound is phenomenal as well. I feel it delivers a really great surround sound experience. Meta calls it spatial audio, I believe that means the audio/sound travels with you depending on how you turn your head and interact with the content your viewing/experiencing. ______ Some of the things I tested out. ______ Meta quest Tv - neat app. Had quite a lot of options of content to experience. Video based content. ______ Batman Arkham shadow - wow. What a fun game. The little bit of time I played was a blast. Being able to hold out my arms and see me in the bat suit was cool. It's a whole different way to enjoy video games. From beating up bad guys, throwing jabs, hooks, to lifting out my cape to glide off to areas where I need to get, it's fun pretending to be Batman. _______ Prime video- Tested out some TV shows and movie. It's really cool to be able to just lay back and watch some content. I'm looking forward to watching a full movie, specifically action or a sci-fi flick, to get a unique experience. _____ All in all, if you are looking into jumping into the VR landscape, this is the product for you. Go big or go home. This is a great all around entertainment device, with loads of content, from games, to movies, to exercise. There is something for the whole family to enjoy. I can't wait to dive deeper and utilize it with my PC.

Context for me: Millennial, 1st time buying VR headset, mass market consumer, previously owned major gaming consoles/PC games but not a "gamer." Pros: - Amazing visuals. If you're new to VR or have only experienced past gen level models, the visuals on the Quest 3 will likely leave you awestruck when you initially boot up. This was the distinguishing factor for me when comparing the Q3 to the Q3S even more than the storage, which I really don't need. - Passthrough mode. This allows you see through the lenses in the front so you can see your own room while also projecting content from the headset (ex. projecting a big screen playing YouTube videos in front of you while you're doing household chores). Easy to switch on and off. Really extends the use cases of the Q3. - Unique features NBA courtside games are fantastic - I think there are about 50 of them this year. Also opportunities to watch standup comedy and concerts designed specifically for VR. - Great sound The stock sound on the Q3 is more than good enough. No reason to purchase headphones, probably better in most cases that you don't. - Great controllers Love the dual controllers. Intuitive controls and the tracking is very responsive. Makes navigating the menus a lot easier than it could be. You can use your hands instead of the controllers, but I still prefer the controllers at this point. - Batman game is good I haven't finished it, but I think the included Batman game is fun/immersive and a good intro to VR gaming. Cons: - Value/Comfort If you're paying $500-700 for a VR headset, you probably don't want to also pay for a bunch of accessories to get the full Q3 experience. But the strap is so bad - unevenly distributes the weight of the headset on your head causing discomfort - and the fit will likely be uncomfortable for most glasses wearers. So be prepared to shell out for the elite strap ($70) or a 3rd party strap at least. This is just nonsense in my opinion and why I couldn't justify 5 stars. - Battery life The battery will last you less than 3 hours on one charge. This isn't a con for me personally, as I don't think it's great on the brain to be immersed in VR more than a few hours at a time. But if you're looking to be on this thing for 5+ hours, you'll have to buy yet more accessories. - Passthrough clarity. A lot of the videos you see online show the passthrough mode view of your room to a lot more clear than it actually is, which is a little grainy. Again, not a major con for me as I don't think making it indistinguishable would be great for the brain, but if you're expecting perfect clarity you'll be disappointed. TLDR: If you're a mass market consumer interested in VR and can afford the price, you won't go wrong with the Q3, provided you're ok with the possibility you'll have to shell out more $ to really enjoy it.

I recently purchased the Meta Quest 3 (512GB) from Best Buy, and it has completely blown me away. As someone who’s used previous VR headsets, this one truly feels like a leap forward. The mixed reality features are incredible — the clarity, responsiveness, and immersion are unmatched. The 512GB storage is perfect for loading up on games and apps without worrying about running out of space. The bonus Batman: Arkham Shadow game was the cherry on top. Playing as Batman in a rich VR environment is everything you’d hope for — thrilling, immersive, and just plain cool. The headset itself is super comfortable, even during longer sessions, and the updated design feels sleek and modern. Setup was straightforward, and I had everything up and running in minutes. A huge shoutout to Best Buy for the smooth buying process. Delivery was fast, and the packaging was secure. Overall, if you’re considering upgrading your VR experience or diving in for the first time, the Meta Quest 3 is absolutely worth it. 5/5 stars!

The Oculus Quest 3 delivers an outstanding virtual reality experience. The visuals are crisp, the tracking is incredibly responsive, and the mixed reality features are a big step up from previous models. It’s lightweight, comfortable to wear, and the game library keeps getting better. That said, I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because the wrist strap on the controllers broke way too easily. For such a high-quality device, the strap feels like an afterthought. I highly recommend replacing it with a third-party option right away if you plan to play anything active. Overall, it’s an impressive piece of tech and definitely worth it—but a stronger strap would’ve made it perfect.

The Meta Quest 3 is incredibly easy to use, even for someone new to VR. From the moment you unbox it, the setup process is smooth and intuitive. The interface is clean, the controls are responsive, and it doesn’t take long to get fully immersed. The updated design is lighter and more comfortable, making longer sessions much more enjoyable without feeling bulky or overwhelming. One of the best features for me is the 512GB of storage. I love being able to download and keep a large library of games without worrying about space. Whether it's action, adventure, puzzle, or fitness games, there's always something ready to play. It’s great not having to constantly delete and reinstall games just to try something new. As a PC user, I’ve found the performance on the Meta Quest 3 to be a huge step up compared to older models. With the ability to connect to my gaming PC, the visuals are stunning and the frame rate is super smooth. Games like Half-Life: Alyx and Blade & Sorcery look amazing and run without a hitch, making the experience even more immersive. Overall, the Meta Quest 3 offers an outstanding VR experience. It’s user-friendly, powerful, and packed with storage. Whether you’re a casual gamer or a hardcore VR enthusiast with a powerful PC, this headset delivers top-tier performance and convenience in one sleek package.

The Meta Quest 3 512GB has been a game-changer for me. It’s super easy to set up, and the visuals are incredible—everything looks sharp and smooth. Batman: Arkham Shadow was a huge win, letting me step into Gotham and feel like the hero. It’s immersive and just plain fun. The headset is lightweight and comfortable enough for longer sessions, though I’d suggest upgrading the strap for a better fit. The 512GB storage is great—I don’t have to worry about running out of space, even with multiple games and apps. As a parent, I love that it’s standalone—no extra PC or console needed—and it’s versatile enough for the whole family to enjoy. Short version: best value for money, works great on it's own and connected to pc. Get different headstrap, cannot overstate how much a headstrap with a fan helps (like bob vr s3). Detailed version: I got this while I was looking for a headset, specifically to use with PC. Considering the quest 3 has the hardware of a cellphone, I wasn't very confident that this would be a good fit. However, nearly every other headset on the market is sitting somewhere around 500 to 1000 dollars more than this, so I gave the Quest 3 a shot. Needless to say I've been pleasantly surprised with how well this works. On PC, it connects pretty easily (depending on which way you connect) and so long as you have a good wifi connection and a PC sufficient to run your game of choice, it works great. The PC does the heavy lifting and the quest just becomes an interactive display. The pancake lenses are a mile beyond fresnels, which really helps bridge the gap compared to some other headsets that might beat quest on pure resolution. Plus, the IPD settings on this allows you to get a much finer picture compared to some headsets (like the 3S for example) that only have a handful of preset settings. The battery life is ok but I highly recommend getting a third party head strap with a built in battery. The Elite Strap is waaay overpriced and honestly isn't worth it. I cannot recommend enough getting a head strap with a built in fan (like the bobo vr s3) as the headset gets pretty hot while gaming (something I noticed immediately while using a friend's headset with the elite strap). Overall it's been great.

In my pursuit of a cutting-edge virtual reality experience, the Meta Quest 3 512GB has proven to be a remarkable choice. Its sleek white design exudes a modern elegance, seamlessly integrating into various environments. The headset’s dual LCD displays, each offering a resolution of 2064 x 2208 pixels, deliver crisp and immersive visuals. The 120Hz refresh rate ensures smooth motion, enhancing the overall experience . The Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM, provides robust performance, handling demanding applications with ease . A standout feature is the color pass-through capability, allowing for a seamless blend of physical and virtual environments. This mixed reality functionality opens up new avenues for interaction and engagement . The included Touch Plus controllers are responsive and intuitive, enhancing the sense of immersion. The headset’s ergonomic design ensures comfort during extended use, although some users may consider additional accessories for optimal fit . While the battery life averages around 2 to 2.5 hours, it suffices for most sessions. The 512GB storage capacity offers ample space for a diverse library of applications and media . Upgrading from the Quest 2 to the Meta Quest 3 is like night and day. This headset is worth every penny. I bought it specifically for sim racing on iRacing, and it has blown me away. The performance is buttery smooth—I consistently hit 120fps with the graphics settings cranked up, making every race feel immersive and responsive. The improved resolution and lighter design make long sessions more comfortable, and the inside-out tracking feels rock solid. If you're serious about VR, especially for competitive gaming, the Quest 3 is a no-brainer. This is hands-down the best standalone VR experience in this price range out there right now

I am an owner of the original oculus quest 2 during covid and let me tell you. THIS ONE blows the quest 2 out of the water. In terms of performance alone, all my games have a greater level of detail. Everything is smoother and new fidelity I didn’t know was possible on a standalone system. The new lenses are a game changer, no more fuzzy text or comparing the view to my terrible vision or dry eyes. Meta as released a product that will stay current for quite some time. Plus, plug this in to a pc with a link cable with a powerful system and you will take advantage of the new lenses even more The controllers are a big upgrade from the previous generation. I constantly clashed the large rings in the last controller, no more issues with that as I reload guns in VR. Lastly, the elephant in the room. Mixed reality, it’s super crisp and a lot of fun! You can go around your house looking like a total idiot but have full visual and fulll functionality after adjusting properly to digital depth perception similar to NVG’s. (Night vision goggles) I can see this being a great product for both gaming and productivity! I have referred people and everyone I tell about the system it literally sells itself.

If the Matrix and a gaming PC had a baby and gave it a massive 512GB brain, you’d get the Meta Quest 3. This thing is wild. Strap it on and boom you’re slicing blocks, fighting robots, or attending a virtual work meeting in your pajamas (business on top, party in VR). The upgraded mixed-reality features let you see your room while still blasting aliens through your wall. It's like your living room became a holodeck. And with 512GB of space? That’s more than enough room for games, apps, and at least 17 rhythm games you’ll swear are "for cardio." It’s lighter, faster, and the graphics are crisp enough to make you question whether this is the real world or just another side quest. Bottom line: The Meta Quest 3 512GB is your one-way ticket to escaping reality just make sure you don’t walk into a wall while doing it.

Wow - thank you for the 5 stars and absolutely epic review!

You sound like you really are getting the most out of your new purchase. The aliens in your living room don't stand a chance!! Unless they trick you into walking into the wall, so make sure you have your boundary set up!!

And always remember: business on top, party in VR for those work meetings!! oculus

Meta Quest 3 Review: A Game-Changer in Virtual Reality The Meta Quest 3 is an exciting leap forward in the world of virtual reality, offering an immersive and versatile experience. As someone who loves it, I can definitely see why—it combines cutting-edge hardware with a refined user experience that makes VR feel more accessible and enjoyable than ever before. Design & Comfort: The Meta Quest 3 features a sleek, modern design that's both lightweight and comfortable. The fit is adjustable, making it easy to wear for long VR sessions without feeling too heavy on your head. The addition of a thinner profile compared to its predecessor makes a noticeable difference in comfort and ease of use. Display & Visuals: The visuals are fantastic, with a sharper display and enhanced color contrast. The Quest 3 utilizes a higher-resolution display, which results in clearer, more vibrant visuals. Whether you're playing intense action games or exploring immersive VR environments, the clarity and detail are top-notch. The overall experience feels very lifelike, drawing you into the virtual world with great depth.

I’ve been using the Meta Quest 3 for a few weeks now, and I can confidently say it’s a game-changer. The graphics are noticeably sharper than its predecessor, and the mixed reality features blew my mind. I wasn’t expecting to feel this immersed, but the depth and detail pull you right in whether you’re exploring fantasy worlds or working out in your living room. Setup was easy and wireless freedom makes a huge difference. The redesigned controllers feel more natural in hand, and hand tracking is smoother than ever. I also love how lightweight and comfortable the headset is, even during longer sessions. Whether you’re gaming, watching movies, or experimenting with productivity apps, the Meta Quest 3 delivers. It’s the most fun I’ve had with tech in a long time. Highly recommend!
