​I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to the 512GB Quest 3, and honestly, the difference is night and day compared to the older headsets. The biggest thing for me is the lenses. Everything is just so much clearer you don't have to constantly wiggle the headset around to find that one "clear" spot where it isn't blurry. The colors pop more, and the text is actually readable, which makes a huge difference if you're trying to use it for anything other than just gaming. ​The mixed reality stuff is actually pretty cool, too. I thought it would be a gimmick, but being able to see my actual room in color while I'm playing is awesome. I can walk around, grab my water, or check a text message without having to rip the headset off every five minutes. It makes the whole experience feel a lot more "natural" and less like I'm totally cut off from the world. ​A few things to keep in mind: ​The Bundle: Getting Batman: Arkham Shadow included was a huge win. It's probably one of the most polished VR games I've played the combat feels great and it really shows off what the new processor can do. The 3-month trial of Horizon+ is also a nice way to test out a bunch of games for free right out of the box. ​Storage: I’m glad I went with the 512GB version. The newer games have way better textures and take up a ton of space, so I’d rather have the extra room than have to delete and reinstall stuff all the time. ​The Comfort (The "Ouch" Factor): If I’m being real, the strap it comes with is still pretty terrible. It’s basically just a piece of elastic that puts all the weight right on your face. I lasted about 30 minutes before I had a headache. You’re definitely going to want to buy a third-party strap or a battery strap to balance the weight out. ​Overall, it’s a fantastic piece of tech. It’s fast, the graphics are a massive step up, and the game library is finally getting some heavy hitters. Just be prepared to spend a little extra on a better head strap to actually make it comfortable for long sessions!

I used to have the Quest 3 with smaller storage. This one is amazing! I am able to fit more games! The optics are superior and I love it!

I made the decision to purchase the Quest 3 on release day. I am very happy with the performance, sharper visuals, and better boundary setup which helps you NOT run into things when you are playing games, whether it's a heated boxing match or a realistic shooting game. The hand tracking is better and the mixed reality/passthrough is wonderful and life like. All in all this has been a worthy upgrade but I do have to take a star away for the strap which is still uncomfortable and a complete money grab attempt by Meta to force you into buying their Elite Strap. Battery life is about 2 hours as well which is not ideal. Despite these two flaws, I do not regret the purchase as this is the most unique gaming experience out right now. Get it, you won't regret it.

for a first headset, this thing is pretty great! battery life is a little lacking, but I play pcvr so it's plugged in the whole time. very capable and the built in finger tracking is really nice! probably the best bang for the buck headset out there

Had the valve for a while but needed to upgrade and it was definitely worth it, with the intigrated software i could just play anywhere, hand sensors are fine if you dont have much light then they start acting kinda weird. Resolution is good. I saw people having a lot of issues with tue steam connect maybe because of their internet connecting but i have ad any issues with a cable is even bette. Only complain would be battery life but there a log list of products that deal with that issue as well as others. Overall if you dont wanna spend crazy amount for a vr set up this is definitely a decent product pr just wait for the nrw steam vr

A truly futuristic experience! The YouTube app alone is mind-blowing—it feels like having a private IMAX theater right in front of you. It’s a little tight for glasses wearers, but I found a way to make it work. Pro tip: use glasses with smaller frames, or consider the prescription lens inserts for the best experience.

The Meta Quest 3 is a really impressive VR headset that greatly improves upon the Quest 2. It provides enhanced performance, comfort, and display quality. The screens are sharper, making games look absolutely fantastic. The full-color passthrough works nicely, though it might miss some small details in low light. The image can sometimes appear grainy or soft, especially in dim settings. It’s not quite high-res enough to replace seeing the real world directly like the Vision Pro

Honestly works very well, it also has good resolution, and plays games well, but its battery life is absolutely abysmal. Like some games you genuinely barely get over an hour of battery life with.

I own higher priced VR head sets yet I find myself using this one most. It's light and seems to be clearer than my more expensive units.

Enhanced graphics and customization in profile. Very fun but still limited on different games and apps as it is all offered through Meta. Unless you are really dedicated to using a certain app, it can honestly get kind of boring. I would suggest getting attachments as the headset is uncomfortable and need an extended battery for longer playtime. Feels more comfortable than Meta Quest 2.

Formerly had the Quest 2; it was a much better piece of hardware, with better controls, better controller tracking, and higher resolution inside the Quest itself. No regrets!

I recently purchased the Meta Quest 3 (512GB) from Best Buy, and it has completely blown me away. As someone who’s used previous VR headsets, this one truly feels like a leap forward. The 512GB storage is perfect for loading up on games and apps without worrying about running out of space. The bonus Batman: Arkham Shadow game was the cherry on top. Playing as Batman in a rich VR environment is everything you’d hope for — thrilling, immersive, and just plain cool. The headset itself is super comfortable, even during longer sessions, and the updated design feels sleek and modern. Setup was straightforward, and I had everything up and running in minutes. A huge shoutout to Best Buy for the smooth buying process. Delivery was fast, and the packaging was secure. Overall, if you’re considering upgrading your VR experience or diving in for the first time, the Meta Quest 3 is absolutely worth it. 5/5 stars!

The Quest 3 exceeded my expectations. I had a Rift S and there were several upgrades I wanted in the Quest 3. I wanted to remove the need for a wire attached to my PC, actually I wanted to not need my PC at all, but I did not want to give up quality. I had a Readyme avatar that some players fell back to my default avatar if their VR quality was too much. The Quest 3 is great. I use the Quest 3 without a PC, cable and without a loss of quality. I do not mind the battery life; I have a lot of fun while it is charged, and it reminds me it might be a good time to take a break. My battery charges quickly so if I want to play more it is not a long wait. One thing I was surprised by was that I can use the Quest 3 (in limit settings) without the hand controllers. The Quest 3 needs a certain amount of light for use without hand controllers and once I get into a game, the games seem to need hand controllers, but I am amazed the Quest 3 can do any functions without the controllers. I enjoy that you can double tap the headset and go in and out of mixed reality. I used to lose perspective of my position in the room with my Rift S and I had to take the headset off to see where I was. With the Quest 3 I just double tap the headset and I can see the room and surroundings (very clearly) and then double tap, and I am back in full immersed mode. With my Rift S I had to draw my boundary borders and touch the floor for perspective. My Quest 3 adjusts very quickly to my room and boundary setup is done. It does ask me to confirm the boundaries when I start, but they always seem to default to the correct boundaries for me. It is such a pleasure to be able to go to a room put on the headset and controllers turn on the headset and it is ready to go. Then when I am done just turn off the headset and plug it in to recharge. (Remember to keep the eyepieces out of direct sunlight.) The Quest 3 was easy to setup. The only issue I had was the Airlink functionality. I really have enjoyed the Quest 3.

For gaming, it runs super smoothly—the tracking is really responsive, everything feels natural, and the immersion is on another level. I’ve genuinely caught myself forgetting I’m just standing in my living room. For movies, it’s just as impressive. The display looks sharp, colors are great, and watching content on a huge “virtual screen” is incredibly comfortable—perfect when you just want to chill. Being fully wireless also makes a big difference, since it’s so easy to pick up and use anytime. Overall, if you want something that’s great for both games and watching movies, the Quest 3 is 100% worth it. One of the best tech purchases I’ve made in a while.

I didn’t expect to love the Quest 3 as much as I do. I originally got it thinking it’d be a cool gadget, maybe some games here and there. I’m doing high-intensity workouts multiple times a week now, and it doesn’t feel like a chore. Stuff like Beat Saber actually gets my heart rate up and keeps me moving, and it’s fun enough that I keep coming back to it. The headset itself feels like a real upgrade too. It’s sharp, smooth, and immersive in a way that’s hard to explain until you try it. It’s also been great for zoning out at the end of the day without just doomscrolling on my phone. If you want something that’s actually going to get used and not sit on a shelf, the Quest 3 is 100% worth it. It’s not just “VR is neat.” It’s genuinely changed my routine.

I originally had the Vive from 2016 and at the time was one of the best. Quest 2 was not as good. Vive did eventually have a wireless but still required base station setup. Quest 3, which I have 3 of, has a good resolution and ease of use and playability that use it more than I did the vive. The ease to use it anywhere without messing around with base stations and its improved resolution does beat out having base stations with higher resolution.
