Bought this for our son. He absolutely loves it. We love it since it does make him get up and move. He is sore from playing games and that is better than just sitting down playing X Box. The only thing that is not so good is that it only stays charged for 2 hours.

The Quest 3 512GB is a huge upgrade from the Quest 2. The mixed reality features make it feel like a completely new device, blending virtual worlds with my actual surroundings in a way that is smooth and natural. It is also much better at detecting my environment, so setting up boundaries feels quicker and more accurate. That makes the overall experience way more immersive and convenient compared to the Quest 2. The headset is lighter and more comfortable, and the visuals are noticeably sharper. The 512GB storage is perfect for loading up on games and apps, and the 3-month Horizon+ trial is a fun way to explore content right away. The passthrough camera is clear, and the improved lenses make everything look crisp. Battery life is average but the fast charging helps. Overall, it is the most polished VR headset I have used and a clear step forward from the previous generation.

My twin son got this for his birthday after his brother received one for Christmas. They were tied of sharing. He loves it and I don’t mind because at least it has them up moving around. Excellent quality, we bought the comfort head strap which seems to be more comfortable. If they have to okay video games, at least every are moving.

I love the pass through mode in color, better resolution, more reliable when playing games as well. Excellent choice for replacing our Quest 2.

Really great for casual gaming, if you like to exercise its also perfect the battery lasts long enough to enjoy some time with your family if you buy more than one, cooking games are the best, pretty comfortable as it is, maybe using apps for entertainment might consume more energy if you enter the full immersive big screen mode but uts really worth it, I bought them for my birthday and have had a lot of fun with them, recommended, the only detail is the battery for longer gaming sessions get a battery headstrap if you want to extend it

Kids love it. Unfortunately I have motion sickness I can’t use it. But my kids have a blast every time they on it. We had to get a second one.

I had a quest 2, but this one is better in every way. Better picture, more comfy, lighter, faster, better everything. Doesn't feel like a 3.0 more like a refined 2.5 but it's still worth it.

The graphics have been improved. Overall more comfortable while wearing as well and the battery life is longer than the MQ2 so far. I recommend to pair it with the charging station for convenience of having your unit charged at any moment you need. It does take a bit of getting used to which I assume would be the same with any VR unit. Lots of fun but the setup could have been easier(need to update the unit to proceed with the setup but it doesn’t tell you that or if the update is progressing.)

The graphics are a huge step forward from the Quest 2. The Quest 3 is lighter and fits better on your head. The only downside is the battery life is not as good as the Quest 2. I use it in iRacing and the graphics improvement made racing even more realistic.

While I have so so so much fun playing beat saber I have a big nitpick to pick at. Battery powered controllers. Man I do not miss those at all whatsoever and here I am getting ready to play beat saber to find that my left controller has been completely drained while not in use? while my right controller just jumping down by 10-20% from barely even opening the game? I hate that I'd have to end up spending an extra $60+ just on getting rechargeable batteries when simply developing the controllers to be rechargeable was on the table. Imagine having the ability after use to charge your headset then after that's full charging your controllers and being ready to go without spending extra money. A feature I will always applaud Sony for keeping in their newer consoles. Now controllers aside I really appreciate the upgrade in picture quality and performance opposed to the Quest 2. It's like eye candy seeing the fluidity of my swings in Beat Saber. I'd def recommend to someone but if they're willing to go the extra mile of buying rechargeable batteries because buying new batteries every couple of months is just not it.

My family absolutely loves playing different apps and worlds on the meta quest. From my three year old and up, there’s something for everyone to do! I just would recommend getting a different headband for it as the elastic one doesn’t stay on as well.

Great headset. I’ve tried the Quest 2 and the Quest 3 and the image quality on the Quest 3 is much better. The Quest 3 is clear (not blurry) across nearly the entire field of view, as opposed to the Quest 2 which gets extremely blurry anywhere except right in the center of the view. But there is one major flaw - Meta does not have a client for interfacing with Mac! They had one previously but no longer! This means that you cannot connect the headset to your Mac to use VR features of Mac applications or games. Of course, the Meta Quest 3 works great as a standalone device (you don’t ever NEED to connect it to a computer to play games or whatever), but the device’s potential is limited if you have a Mac system. For example, I wanted to use the Quest 3 for my flight simulator on my MacBook Pro with M2 chip but cannot do so because both wired and wireless interfaces do not work with Mac. However, if you want to use your Quest 3 as a monitor for your Mac, this is actually supported via Remote Desktop, although it is very laggy and will give you a bit of a headache after a short use. The difference is that mirroring your screen from Mac to Quest is supported, while using your headset to directly and natively control the applications your Mac is running is not supported. On the other hand, if you’re on Windows, everything should be supported.

It strikes a strong balance between cost and innovation, making it appealing for both entertainment and more advanced interactive experiences.

The headset works great as advertised, and is probably the best for the money. However, limitations and common problems that typically plague VR headsets are readily apparent here. Wearing it hurts after a while, and the exercise apps/games really wear out your neck with the weight of the device. Battery life is disappointing, but enough to watch a movie. Any longer is painful to wear anyway. Looking forward to improvements in the future.

12 and 13 year old love this. Better last about an hour. The kids are sweaty when they are done.

I am loving it. Great picture quality and comfortable to wear for long duration. Mixed reality is amazing. A few improvements are required ; Battery life is not great , and a few glitches in software. Overall well made and Great VR for the price.

It’s lighter weight than the earlier version I have. I love it! The mixed reality is pretty awesome & the headset is much more comfortable.

FIRSTLY BEFORE START, NO FACEBOOK REQUIRED!! That’s right!! NOOOO FACEBOOK is neither required nor needed to use the Quest 3. You can link them if you’d like or you can just simply use your email address to sign up and go full solo. I was hesitant to ever buy any Meta Quest but was just so happy to see FB wasn’t needed. Now onto my review. I was pleasantly surprised by the Meta Quest 3 when I first turned it on. I’ve owned a PSVR for the PS4 Pro for many years now and have highly enjoyed it. While the Quest 3 does not exceed the visuals and fidelity of the psvr it does a great job of introducing you in the world of VR and AR/MRA. I purchased a few games as it had a good Christmas sale going. Asgards Wrath is fun and intuitive. Assassin’s Creed does nice giving you a good view of the world of AC. Music games are a wonderful flashback to Guitar Hero and the like as I have really missed that era. All without the need for extra plastic peripherals. And Mixed Reality games such as First Encounter which is free coming with the device showcases how clean and clear the front cameras are to the outside world and in. Battery life is what you’d expect, 2-3 hours. I use the headset on my bed the most because it can be hard to move from time to time standing up for myself and other medical conditions. In this case I have a long 10ft cable I currently use for my tablet and phone. Works well with my quest. I think it’s a 30 watt charger brick. It’s able to keep my device charge as I use it at the same time whenever I’m playing music games with my arms or watching YouTube VR and other video streaming apps. NEGATIVES: so if you’ve never used an Oculus Rift S, Steams VRs or PlayStation VR 1 and/or 2 you’ll have absolutely no idea how narrow the Quest is in comparison. For that reason you’ll be fine. If you have used the others as I have then it’ll instantly be obvious. The Quest is a little more akin to looking through binoculars. The immersive-ness isn’t as “you’re inside another world” as the psvr. It will take awhile of you actually playing the Quest 3 for it to hit as your brain adjusts to the differences. LCD LENS- the lens are lcd. When you’re in psvr and a game is loading or has a black background you’ll feel it. You’ll feel the depth and you’ll see what looks like the device being off (when loading) because of psvr OLED tech. It’s beautiful. The lcd on the Quest 3 can break immersion at times when it does use things such as the darkness in horror games. On the other hand the brightness is great and provides a nice view and color for anime and brighter media. And lastly just a few things to touch up on. The psvr had a straight view, but looking around you can see the lens abit blurry (if you’ve played it you’ll know what I mean). On the oculus rift 2 it has that “door” effect. The Quest 3 has none of these issues. It’s clean, it’s clear and has no window door effect nor blur around the edges. My only wish is for the next models to use OLED. It would make it sooooooo much better. I’d also like for a bigger view. The controls work perfect. The switching between VR in view and your outside surroundings is a quick switch. Cameras are clean. It can record anything you see and play which is a plus. It can track your hand movements. And it can also track via just pointing through your headset view and tapping the Volume button when it notices your controls or hands aren’t in view (switches to a white dot reticle inside your view). It can cast to your phone and chromecast. Records and screenshots automatically sync to your phone app. I have yet to try the pc air sync yet but I’ve read that it works well. And as for sound…..the Audio is excellent! I couldn’t believe how loud and bass heavy the built in audio was. All in all, a must buy for anyone wanting to get into VR. It is head and above the Quest 2. I’m pretty impressed even after owning a psvr and Rift S for years. Yes, it won’t match those but for what it is doing it truly is very, very well. And by the by, I have the 512gb model and currently used about 200gb which is more than the 128gb model. If you plan to use a few games 128 is enough. If you’re like me and are very crazy with downloading many games, videos (quest 3 has videos you can actually download to the storage and even upload to library for offline viewing which takes up space) AND recording sessions then go 512 as you can not add an sd card or any storages. Asgard Wrath 2 by itself is very large and THE largest game. 40ish gb. The other games are all less than 10gb. Assassins creed I want to say was between 10-20gb. So if you’ve been holding out, now is the time. And no Facebook? Highly, highly recommend the Meta Quest 3! Lots is fun to use. Runs smoothly and the video display is nice and crisp. Batter life is also good. Overall been enjoying it. My whole family uses it and it’s fairly easy to adjust the straps to fit everyone’s size. Also comfortable, the straps don’t dig in. But beware of using it for more than an hour at a time. Could lead to headaches or dizziness.
