Awesome upgrade coming from a Rift

The resolution and field of view compared to the last headset we had (the original Oculus Rift) is really impressive. We're currently using it mostly for MS Simulator on an RTX 3080 and it's been a blast at a mix of high to ultra settings. While the image resolution is outstanding, the passthrough video coming from the external camera is ok. It's passable, but can get a little grainy in low light. Maybe someday future versions will have a camera quality to match the resolution that the display is capable of and that other content is presented in. Other than that, excellent product!

I honestly only purchased the headset because of quest link and being able to use it as standalone or PC VR. The visuals for this headset are far superior to that of the rift that I owned, it looks absolutely gorgeous and very clear. The new pancake lenses are 1000% percent better than the old style lenses. The head strap that comes with the headset is complete garbage and very uncomfortable so purchasing a new one is pretty much necessary... Overall I'm happy with the purchase but a bit disappointed I'm the performance of PC VR via quest link... It definitely needs some improvements. Biggest disappointment for me was the pass through on the device. It is really cool the things you can do in AR but the pass through does not look nearly as good as they make it look, I'm lower lighting the image is extremely grainy but in will lit room looks a little better but still not that great. Also there's warping in the image which looks pretty bad at times. Wish the cameras were higher quality as it would make the experience much better If I were to go back I probably would have invested in a new PC VR headset instead but overall I'm fairly happy with the purchase.

If you want to get a bit more added comfort for longer sessions, we would suggest investing in the Elite Strap or the Elite Strap with Battery.
The latter option with battery aside from giving you a more comfortable and secure experience, also provides up to an additional 2 hours of gaming!

My boys 8 and under use it and they bang and drop the thing almost every time and there's no breakage and doesn't glitch. I'll tip my hat to Zuckerberg on this one

Great upgrade from Quest 2

The new lense design in this model is the best yet . You have a much better field of view now and the processor is a significant jump forward! Bulld quality overall seems good . My only advice would be to get the add on battery strap . It is a pretty hungry power user , the additional battery capacity will definitely help keep you up and running for a greater amount of time .

Effective tool for mural artists

The one thing that is a little disappointing is that the image can move quite a bit, so wouldn't work for typography/ realism where the line has to be bang on.
