They said the batman game was amazing and they have really been enjoying the vr experience. It was something they knew about but wouldn't necessarily buy for themselves.

Great for some but not for me

I was interested in the 3S given the low price point but I would actually recommend going for a refurbished Meta Quest 3. The Quest 3 has a better resolution and this is a big deal for me. When first using the 3S, I was blown away by the tech. Hand tracking is amazing and it's quite comfortable. The thing that holds back the 3S is that the resolution is not quite there. Hence, an upgrade on the resolution would help a lot. Given that this is essentially a screen, resolution is really important. Some reviewers note that the image quality in the 3 is about mid-tier, so the 3S is on the lower end of quality. I appreciate the lower price point but the a lot of the tech in the 3S is actually from Meta Quest 2. For me, I'll probably refund the 3S and go for a refurbished 3 and pay just a bit more.

I ended up going up a model, but good overall unit

If you want 3D video, well, it is very easy to get dizzy if video has too much movement...I had trouble navigating the file system to select videos in different directories.

Quest 3 Well Worth Upgrading!
