My experience with VR was only limited to the PSVR, which I tried out a few years ago. And limited it was. While it was very immersive, the games I played would have you click at a spot to move or be stationary. Plus, it felt like you couldn't move around much anyway because of the cables connecting you to your console. With the Meta Quest 3S, none of that is true! No cables because the software is running on the headset itself. In many games, if you move, you'll see your environment move. And conveniently, it scans your surroundings ahead of time so if you get too close to a wall or object, it throws up a grid in your vision to let you know you are about to run into something. The visuals are great, though you do need to get the headset positioned just right or there can be some blurriness. I also appreciate the speakers located back near your ears which transmit sound wonderfully without having to actually cover the ears. You get a full sense of direction the sound is coming from. The controllers are easy to use, and when you have the headset on, when they come into view they light up to help you see them better, and through the headset you can see the battery level remaining. I've played a number of games, but Batman: Arkham Shadow which comes with the system is utterly amazing! Only downside to the system is the battery. I think it's about 4-6 hours on a charge, depending on how intensive the game you are playing is. And if you try to charge it while playing, that does limit your movement. In any case, highly recommend. It's a great entry point for anyone wanting to try out VR.

This is a phenomenal upgrade to the already amazing Quest 2 VR headset. It is effectively a Quest 3 but with a single LCD, and the standard Fresnel lenses instead of pancake. DO NOT listen to people saying " Quest 3 is infinitely better, don't buy Quest 3s." That take is completely ignorant, and most of the people saying that either never tried a Quest 2/3s , or had a bad experience with it because they didn't fit into the IPD presets. Unlike Quest 3's granular IPD settings, the Quet 2 and 3s have 3 fixed IPD settings. Do your research, measure your IPD, and see if you fit into these presets roughly (doesn't have to be exact). If you fit into the IPD presets, then as meta says on their website, when looking in the sweet spot there is only a 25% difference in clarity between the Quest 3s and Quest 3. Clarity difference in peripheral vision is 70%, but like 99% of the time when gaming, you are just looking straight into the sweet spot. Additionally, the Quest 3s does some things BETTER than the more expensive Quest 3. It has better, faster hand tracking due to the 2 IR light blasters which are very bright. It also has significantly better binocular overlap (same as Quest 2), since with the Quest 3, they sacrificed overlap to increase the FOV instead. For me, overlap is much more important as it contributes to immersion far more than FOV or clarity does. If you don't want to read all of that and want a quick answer: I have both the Quest 3 and the Quest 3s and I genuinely enjoy both of them equally. The Quest 3s being $200 cheaper and delivering nearly the same exact experience just makes it an incredibly value. Yes, you should buy it.

Tried the quest3 and now the quest3s. The difference are the lenses. So the 3 is a bit sharper. The 3s still looks pretty good. Games look pretty good and the headset is mostly smooth. Some glitches here and there in games etc on 3as well. The stock vr headstrap is terrible and the battery life bad. But you can get a nice headstrap with a bigger battery that lasts to for about 20 to 30 bucks online . Overall a pretty nice Vr. Try zombieland game it's.a.blast

I had the ability to test one of these from a program with best buy, and I liked it so much I bought a second unit. This headset is considered the entry level, but it seems to run pretty good to me, and does everything I would expect from a Vr headset. Going it's fairly easy setup, and goong through the tutorials help understand the controls, then it's off to the races. I figured out how to share apps for the family and have my wife on one machine, and myself on the other and now we can play the same game at the same time. I miss the days of if you buy a game and load it on whatever computer you are on, you can play it. With the onlone and account system, several companies make it so difficult that you end up buying 2 copies of the game so each person can play. I'm glad that this sysemt worked as it should. The graphics are immersive and i hoghly reccomend this.

This new Meta Quest 3S 128GB is great for those who want to experience headset technology at affordable price and beginners who wants to learn more about the VR world and games. This Meta headset was easy to set up, just put it on , adjust the head straps and lens , follow the instructions and download the Meta Horizon app. The headsets also comes with a glasses spacer, if you wants to use glasses with the headset, you can also buy on Meta prescription lenses for the headset. One of the many cool features this meta headsets offers is the multitasking feature, you can open more than one screen or app to watch videos while still see your room around you. This Meta Quest 3S is as good as the previous versions, the only difference that I've noticed is just the display : High definition (1832x1920 pixels per eye) vs 4K display on the Quest 3, also the field view is only 96° vs 110° on the Quest 3 but you get 2.5 hours of battery charge. This headset are amazing for everyone in your home. It includes 3 free months of Meta Quest+ and Batman Arkham Shadow.

I bought this for my nephew for Christmas and everyone in the house had fun taking turns, The mixed reality First Encounters is REALLY fun. It is fairly easy to use as well. Only negative is the head strap that comes with the device. It's definitely something most people will have to replace.

I didn't want to pay the much higher price for the 3, but when this 3S came out at only $300, and I got the MQ2 just 4 months ago for $200, I figure I can sell the 2 at almost $200, and recoup most of the cost, and have mixed reality at a pretty low price. The 3S graphics are a little better, and the top strap might make the weight distribution better, but it kindof hurts the top of my head (and I'm still trying to adjust it more). Overall, I think the investment for the 3S is well worth the price, and I'm having a great time with new apps.

These VR’s keep getting better and better. This one turned out to be amazing! And the MetaQuest 3S is perfect for someone wanting the 3 for a more affordable price. And it still has all the bells and whistles. There’s only one small difference and it doesn’t even take away from its performance. If you’re looking to try one of these, I’d definitely say to try the 3S. And it comes with a game that is a higher end game for free.

This quest vr headset is really sweet super fun to play especially with friends. Has run every game ive played just fine with very little lag and no crashes. The outside camaras arent the best but you can definitely see well enough through them to not fall or trip. The controllers track really well exept in the dark so is kind of hard to use in a dark area. The headset speakers are actually pretty good and are pretty loud with some quality sound. The connect to windows feature isnt to bad but it does have a delay if your router isnt in the same room and you can use multiple screens if you in the windowed mode but cant use multiple screens in the theater mode only one at a time. Can definitely use some work in that area. Overall i would really recommend this headset I use it often and love watching movies and playing games with it.

Very worth the money, real life graphics and a great variety of things to do on it. Fast and responsive hand controls with ability to go full VR or mixed reality.

This VR experience is AMAZING! And the Batman Arkham Shadow game is just as great with graphics and story being just as good as the other Arkham games except HERE, YOU have to fight all your henchmen and villains LITERALLY! VR adds to the experience being immersed in the games environment using your hands to navigate and fight your way through the game.It's an AMAZING EXPERIENCE and there's so many other games to choose from. This is my 1st VR gaming system and with the Batman game added to the systems purchase, its a great value pricewise!

I recently got the Oculus Quest S, and I have to say, it's pretty impressive! The graphics are sharp, and the immersive experience is top-notch. I couldn’t be happier with my Quest 3S 128GB. The moment I unboxed it, I could tell this headset was on a whole new level. Amazing VR tech for the price of a Nintendo Switch! I also have the Meta Quest 2, and a regular Meta Quest 3 (that I paid the full $650 back in Jan, I'm a bit cranky about now that it's just $500). Anyway, you can real plenty of reviews out there and it's all being highly praised, so what new feedback could I provide? FIRST - Compared to the Quest 2, which was recently sold for $300 as early as first half of this year, the 3s is a huge upgrade and no-brainer. I got the 3s for my son, who was using the 2 for beat saber and Population One and we were running into more and more slow Quest Operating System/OS issues. And with Pop One game, you get a big upgrade in viewing distance and clarity - so pulled the trigger. He loves it. COMPARED TO REGULAR QUEST 3 - well, obviously the regular and more expensive quest 3 is better. It really comes down to this. For the 128GB model, for $300, if the extra $200 is an issue, get the 3s. Or if you're just new to VR and worried about not liking it, start with the cheaper 3s. I suspect if you have a family, and love VR, you'll want another one anyway and you can buy the full quest 3 for yourself later! ;) BUT the 256GB Quest 3s model for $400 I don't think is worth it. At that point you're only $100 away from the full Quest 3. For that extra $100 you get 256GB more storage (at 512GB) and most importantly, you get the amazing 'pancake' lens. Which, once you become a VR vet, you will appreciate. Far more clarity more of the time, far larger sweet spot for staying in focus, etc. The 'Frenel' lens on the quest 2 and 3s are perfectly fine, And for some content I still like them better - like games that are very lite-colored, with lots of white, or pastel, lighter colors. Pistol Whip for example. Pancake lens have this weird self-reflection with lighter colors. You get used to it though, and again, thankfully it's rarely an issue. Frenel doesn't have that, but again, not razor sharp or as in focus as much as regular quest 3's 'pancake' lens. I bought the original Quest 3 for $650, as I mentioned above - and I was still happy with it for that price; but if you're new and not sure, you will still very much like the $300 Quest 3s and the 128GB should be enough space. Worse case, you uninstall games you're done with to make room for others. Only the newest quest 3/3s only games are getting up to 30gb in size. Most are still in 5 to 10gb range. Oh, last thing to mention. I noticed the 'room scanning' the 3s does compared to regular quest 3 isn't quite as good or as fast. That's when it will start mapping your room, for a mixed reality game. Not a big deal I would say - it's sufficient; scan is 80% as good as 3 maybe. What this means in practice, is the extra scanning device in the regular quest 3 can just scan my room, furniture and any other objects, so that when I play a mixed-reality game and a little creature is walking around my room, behind the couch, or on stuff - it just looks a tad closer to reality, like they won't be walking slightly above, etc. due to not as exactly a scan/map of my room. If you will be SUPER heavy into the mixed-reality, maybe consider the full quest 3 instead.

Great entry to VR. Arkham: Shadows in particular blew me off my feet with this headset and how well the operating system could handle it. The only downsides are the lenses which require your eyes to be in an exact spot to see really well, and the head strap can be uncomfortable at times, but I think it is definitely worth it.
