Don't waste your money.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my kids for Christmas. They are always super careful with the VR headset, but within a few months the grey part fell off. There are two tiny screws that are fed from the back and impossible to get back in if they fall out. I tried to return/exchange and was not able to.

Had to purchase the same product again…
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a quest 2 with the elite headstrap. that one is not compatible with the quest 3 so had to spend another $70 for this. Quality seems to be better in terms of plastic thickness, but Meta… make ur products backward compatible…..

Not more comfortable than base strap
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.the base headset strap feels more comfortable since its fabric and this is all plastic around so the weight distrubtion really didn't help for me.

Increases comfort/convenience for the Meta Quest 3
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Meta - Quest 3 Elite Strap is a nice upgrade over the standard strap that comes with the Meta Quest 3 headset. Following are my observations after switching to the elite strap: - It was a pretty easy process to switch out the standard strap that comes with the Meta - Quest 3 headset with the Elite Strap. There are instructions with pictures that come with the Elite Strap to help you swap it out. You just snap out the facial interface from the headset, remove the standard head strap, extend the side straps on the Elite Strap, attach the new side straps, connect the top strap and reinstall the facial interface. - The Elite Strap is a much nicer strap than the standard strap that comes with the Meta Quest 3. The standard strap allows you to manually slide some pieces of the strap on the back of the head to get a better fit, as well as adjust Velcro to secure everything. The Elite Strap provides better, more solid plastic side strap pieces and has a dial control feature that sits behind a padded piece which sits on the back of your head. The dial allows you to automatically crank the side straps in or out to tighten or loosen the headset. When you get it to the comfortable fit on the sides, then you just tighten the one top Velcro strap to fit your head. Once this is done, then you can just use the dial to loosen and tighten it when taking it off or putting it on. After the initial set up, it is much easier to adjust to your liking each time you use it without adjusting the Velcro on top. - With the original head strap, I found I was getting my hair caught in the Velcro and in the back pieces that slide in and out to adjust it, plus if I was doing an activity such as using a fitness app, the sliding straps on the back of the standard strap would move and loosen up. With the Elite Strap, I have not had any issues getting hair caught in the strap and once you have the dial set to your liking, the strap does not loosen up when using the headset for an active program where you are moving around. The Elite strap just feels more secure when moving around and it is definitely more comfortable to wear. The Meta Quest 3 Elite Strap is a nice upgrade over the standard strap that comes with the unit.

A Must for Multi-User Quest 3s
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Elite Strap for the Meta Quest 3 addresses two of the biggest shortcomings of the base headset when you’re demoing or sharing the device: it replaces the cloth fabric rear headstrap with a silicone rubber interface that’s much easier to clean, and the head size adjustment is reduced to a simple dial at the rear and a single, easy to use strap along the top. It’s intuitive and simple to understand, which speeds up setup switching from user to user. A very nice touch is that the strap can be tightened just by pressing the rear towards the headset, spinning the adjustment dial automatically and clicking into place at each step. The change in ergonomics from the cloth headstrap are noticeable. First, the contoured silicone pad spreads pressure on the back of the head, allowing a tighter and more secure fit without feeling uncomfortable - useful for fast-paced action games. Second, this creates a much wider “anchor” point for the headset to pull against, which results in a more even distribution of weight from the headset and greatly reduces the front-heaviness felt when in use. I wouldn’t say it’s at the level of the Elite Strap with Battery, however - the lack of a counterweight still means it’s reliant on the grip at the back of your head to prevent pulling down on your face. It’s still quite the improvement. The only things I don’t like about the Elite Strap are the packaging, which is fairly large and wasteful for such a simple plastic device, and the steep asking price for what it is. I would recommend the Elite Strap with Battery instead, since it extends playtime significantly while being more comfortable than this model due to its counterbalancing effect, but if you’re simply looking for a quick way to share a Quest 3 among friends and family, the Elite Strap meaningfully improves that experience. Recommended.

Great Headband Upgrade for a More Balanced Feel
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the Meta Quest 3 and wanted to try out the Elite Strap for quicker adjustments and a more balanced fit. Even though I did not have any issues with the included headband for the Quest 3, I noticed the band was a little large for my 10-year-old son and would cause the goggles to put more pressure on his nose. The task of replacing the strap was pretty easy. There are directions on how to perform this task, but it isn’t really needed. I was a little nervous about pulling the clips apart, but this was designed to be taken apart easily for replacement or cleaning. To help guide the top strap back into the plastic holder, I used a flimsy piece of plastic. After getting the headset all back together, I noticed the headset felt more balanced and helped distribute the weight evenly on my head. I was also able to get a better fit on my 10-year-old son. The biggest improvement comparing this strap with what was included, was using the wheel on the back to quickly adjust the size of the headband. Since this is such a nice addition for this VR headset, I would recommend this as an add-on. It provided a more comfortable fit and was easy to install.

This should be the default head strap.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Elite Strap for the Meta Quest 3 should be the default head strap. Installation can be a bit tricky. And while removing the cloth strap it feels like you're going to break the plastic parts. The quality of the plastics is definitely a step up from the previous generation Meta Quest 2, as it's a bit thicker. But I think they need to rethink how you swap out head straps. After you've swapped out the head straps, you immediately notice how much more comfortable and easy to use the Elite Strap is. The back of the Elite Strap cups the back of your head so perfectly that it seems to take a good portion of the weight of the headset. And the adjustment knob makes it super easy to take off and put back on, or make fine adjustments. I found that in gaming I would turn the adjustment knob a little more to get the headset to be nice and tight. While watching YouTube or Netflix I would relax it, as my head isn't moving so much. The quality of the Elite Strap is great and I wish this was included with the Quest 3 If you're going to be doing any serious gaming with the Meta Quest 3, I highly recommend getting the Elite Strap.

A must have for your Quest 3
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Meta Quest 3 Elite strap is an essential upgrade from the original strap that comes with the system. The instructions were clear and concise, and it only took a few minutes to switch out the old strap and put the Elite strap on the Quest. The tricky part was getting the black plastic piece that forms to your face off the Quest as it felt like I might break it if I pull too hard. But I was able to get it off safely and installed the strap and away I went! The dial in the back is adjustable and allows you to secure it to your head better than the cloth strap in my opinion. The black plastic piece on the back fits to your head very well and I never felt like it was going to fall off. I would definitely recommend this strap if you’re going to be using the Quest for any of the workout apps as it feels more snug and secure on your head. Frankly I would buy it even if you aren't going to be using the workout app as it just feels like a much safer alternative to the cloth strap that comes with the Quest.
