    Picked up a Open Box TV which was missing the remote... TV was a SMART TV and this Remote did nothing but ON OFF, Channel up or Down, Volume Up or Down... Bought the correct Remote from LG...

    I purchased this to use with the fire stick (fire stick remote stop working). I haven't been able to program it to the fire stick and not sure if it's compatible. Will try again.

    I received the remote and was looking at the codes, and the brand "Amazon" was nowhere on the sheet. After much research, I learned that this remote will not work with Fire TV because Fire TV doesn't have an IR sensor. The sole reason of buying this remote was to control my Fire TV stick and my TV. To go into more technical details, Fire TV remotes only work with Bluetooth protocol, so there are extremely limited universal remotes that work with Fire TV. I was not informed of any of this until I did the research after receiving the remote.
