The reMarkable 2's writing surface feels as close to actual paper as I have ever seen. The screen even provides physical feedback to the stylus, making it feel just like you're writing on paper. The differences between a ballpoint pen and a pencil are perfectly discernible. The device has a minimalist design and a long battery life. No one will argue against its main focus: to disconnect from social media distractions and really sit down to do something productive. The reMarkable 2 nails it. The backlight, oh, if there were only a backlight, it would be worth the $600+. I thought I could overlook that fact. I even told myself that if I were writing on a piece of paper, I wouldn't be able to see that in the dark, so how could I expect this tablet to be any different? However, it's a deal breaker. Now, if it were $100 cheaper, maybe, but probably not. You've heard this a thousand times if you've been reading reviews: they always say it comes down to preference. Well, my preference was not met. I am unbelievably sad and will be looking for something to replace that hole that returning this has left, for the rest of my days, or until they come out with this with a backlight.

It’s ideal for note-taking, sketching, and reading. It has an incredibly responsive e-ink display that makes writing feel remarkably (LOL) similar to pen on paper. What I love about the tablet is its distraction-free environment. Since there are no social media apps or web browsers, it is easy to focus entirely on work, which I’ve noticed from my daughter’s use, has helped her improve productivity and concentration. Also, the battery life is quite impressive, it lasts for a few weeks without needing to charge, so it’s quite reliable for long hours at school or work. Another thing that Remarkable also excels in is its file management, it’s so easy to organize and categorize notes, export files as PDFs, and sync documents across devices with the app. I highly recommend buying it if you are looking to get organized and productive with your workload!

I am a designer & I am such a huge fan of this Remarkable 2 tablet after having it for a few weeks — it is magical! I have no idea how I didn’t know about this since it’s been out for a couple years already. The fact that I can sketch with pressure sensitivity on eink paper that feels like really sketching on paper is fantastic and it’s such a light and small tablet its way more convenient than my iPad - but the best is that you can save editable vector SVG files directly from the Remarkable tablet! It’s such a good addition to my workflow. I already have an iPad Pro and pencil I use for sketching and things BUT as a designer I usually need vector files and my ipad does great at some things of course but it does more to distract me than anything, where as Remarkable 2 is distraction free experience and perfect for sketching ideas and making notes with all the benefits of tech (editable/sharing) without the drawbacks (distraction). I even imported some technical drawings I sketched ideas over so precisely! It was a total impulse buy on my part too because I was at Best Buy picking up a power adapter and walked by the Remarkable display and was like “What’s this..” the moment I sketched on it I was hooked. Yeah I love this thing :)

I love using the remarkable 2! I’m no longer searching for notebooks to take notes in meetings or having to carry multiple notebooks with me. I have replaced them all with the digital notebooks in the reMarkable 2. It is so thin and light weight that I hardly know it’s in my computer bag. It’s easy to share notes with coworkers. It would be great for study groups to share notes!

I love the reMarkable ll! I use it for work, personal journaling and to-do lists, and at school! It has changed how I utilize notebooks since it is so focused on simplicity, making it one of the most versatile devices I have! The quality of the build and materials is top notch as well. Also being able to sync it with other devices has made it easy to have my notes accessible even when I don’t have the device on me (which is rare because I take it everywhere). I would highly recommend this the reMarkable ll over other e-ink notebooks because it reduces distractions better than competition.

For years, I have avoided purchasing this notebook. I purchased an iPad Pro for writing notes, but the other apps in there had me distracted from what I wanted to use it for. This has been everything it says it is and more. I have been able to download a great planner, but also create my own. This is one of the best purchases I have ever made.

I use this for my personal everyday tool. Use it for work and many more. This is the best investment I’ve made in my life. I can carry this thing everywhere. And if I get tired of writing I can type. I can upload paper files and write on it. I can’t say any bad thing about this tool! Is amazing! Battery has a good life. 100% recommend this.

Love it. I’m a church leader’s personal secretary. I take pages of notes daily. I keep all the used legal pads in boxes. I threw them all away. ReMarkable two gets the job I keep it with me at all times. Even when I go to be. My boss may get a word from God and call me to write the vision down.

My husband and I have wanted one for years, and finally gave in and bought one. It's pricey but very cool to use. I would recommend it for people who write a lot, or make graphs (for business), for school, or just to draw on. The screen and setup is pretty cool. The look has an old-school vibe to me, but with the benefits of modern technology.

Completely streamlined how i work, take notes, and track ideas.

I used to write in an app on an ipad and the biggest advantage I have found in working with the remarkable is that I have successfully kept my attention on what I am thinking and writing not only to structure ideas, but also to give instructions to my brain for the actual process of writing. Distractions are undoubtedly minimised compared to the iPad. Also is very good for sketching.

I’ve had a Remarkable 2 with leather folio and Marker Plus for more than two years and I use it every.single.day, both personally and professionally. All those Moleskine notebooks and post-it notes and scraps of paper - all gone! And now I have my Remarkable with everything in one place and with access to my notes on my phone in the app. Love it!!
