Here’s a detailed review: Pros: • Outstanding writing experience, closest to real paper. • Lightweight, portable design. • Distraction-free interface boosts productivity. • Robust syncing and integration for digital organization. • Long-lasting battery life. Cons: • Monochromatic display isn’t ideal for multimedia or color documents. • No built-in lighting for use in dim conditions. • Expensive, especially when bundled with the Premium Leather Folio and Marker Plus. • Limited functionality compared to traditional tablets (no apps or color). Who It’s For: The reMarkable 2 is perfect for professionals, writers, and students who want a focused, paper-like experience for note-taking and reading. It’s ideal for those looking to replace traditional notebooks while staying distraction-free. Verdict: If you value simplicity, elegance, and a high-quality writing experience, the reMarkable 2 with Marker Plus and Premium Leather Folio is worth the investment. However, if you need a multifunctional device with color or app support, a traditional tablet like the iPad may be a better choice.

The remarkable 2 is a great altenative to taking notes on paper. It allows me to stay organized but also gives me the same feel of writing on paper versus using a tablet which can be slippery and un-natural to write on. I have also tried typing my notes which the remarkable can do but it still isn’t the same and doesn’t help me remember what I’m taking notes on. The cloud Connect service is very affordable and worth the investment after your first year. You can Email your notes or convert to text and share along with cloud service integrations (i.e. OneDrive, Google Drive, etc). If you are looking to go digital with notetaking the remarkable 2 is hard to beat but the ONLY thing it does is take and organize notes which is the main thing I love about it.

I got this for a small construction business I run. I wanted to reduce my paper pile and have things all in one place. This makes things quick and easy. I can upload pdf files and fill them in, make copies for different customers rename them quickly too. I uploaded a message book template and have all of my calls and missed calls in one place, my own handwriting and in the format that I like. I also have a template for when I look at jobs for customers name, address, phone number and job notes and rename it to that customer for easy retrieval. I’ve had it for a little over a year and a lot of customers like the idea and when they write on it they are even more excited, I like that it has palm rejection and it doesn’t mess anything up while writing. There are some issues with the unit and some maybe user error. The main issue is the scrolling. I don’t have any issues when I first got it. Either over time or from and update but it’s a pain to scroll through my files and it randomly opens files I don’t want to open and even in large documents it doesn’t scroll smoothly anymore but I manage to get where I need to get to. Pen tip has lasted me over a year and I use it everyday probably 2-3 hours writing notes. I have taken notice that it is a little mushroomed and will be replacing it soon. Over all I am very pleased with the tablet, functions that I do use and battery life is amazing. I recommend it to anyone that asks or mentions about it and wouldn’t think twice about replacing it with a newer model.

I use this for multiple purposes. For work, it's fantastic for taking notes in meetings or as needed. It's nice to know that my notes won't get misplaced or accidentally tossed, because they are safe on my tablet and backed up on the cloud. The filing system is easy to use for organizational needs. My personal uses include making lists when I need them, journaling, songwriting, and quickly jotting down ideas that might be forgotten otherwise. The battery life is exceptional. I do recommend the leather case, it doesn't hold on to lint or animal hair. I only have two small issues with this product, and if it were an option, I'd have rated this at a 4.9... ;) 1) On occasion, if I don't pull my pen tip far enough away from the writing surface, little dots start to speckle the screen near my pen tip. The Remarkable 1 had a Caligration feature that could be used to correct this, the Remarkable 2 has lost this feature. 2) The on-screen keyboard used for naming/renaming folders and files doesn't allow a swype interface - that would definitely be a product improvement from my perspective. All in all, if you like to write and are tired of trying to find sheets of paper, post-it notes, or other media where you wrote something because it was convenient, you will love having all your writings in one safe place. The ability to actually write instead of type connects us better to our creative mind. This product is highly recommended.

Have been using it for 1 month. It does feel as if writing on paper. Ease to access pages is exceptional. Navigating through its features is very use friendly. I use it appropriately 2-3 hours daily and battery is long lasting. In one month's use I've only charged it twice. Templates are many and easy to load. I enjoy the To-Do template - helps me remain organized.

Best purchase I've made in a long time. I can write with the pen, draw, and with the keyboard type, Download articles and books I need to go over, make notes on them, etc. And it's not connected to the internet--so nothing for me to get distracted with while working. Light, easy to pack/carry and functional Only draw back--the magnetic pen doesn't stay in place for be prepared to find a way to keep from losing it. I just use the box it came in and use a covered rubber band around the tablet--works.

It's for anything with pen/pencil paper. As an engineering student this device keeps track of all my notes, homework, and textbooks. I can easily share my work with professors, classmates or store them in the cloud (OneDrive, Google Drive). Not only that, but you can turn scribble writing into text, no more guessing someone else's handwriting. I can get to my notes from a computer or phone and edit/ view in different windows at the same time. A bit expensive = good quality.

My new best friend! I carry it in my backpack and use it almost every day. I can take and store notes by customer and they are easy to retrieve. I have a bunch of paper notepads laying around, but they are a thing of the past. Excellent writing experience and erases easily too. You can put the app on your phone or other device and pull up your notes even if you don’t have it with you. You can email them from your other devices as well. The only complaint that I have is that the case it very expensive for what it is. I would not buy it if I had it to do over again. It would do just fine in another type of protective sleeve since it is light and easy to carry around.

ReMarkable is everything you imagined you would want in a tablet that is lightweight, natural to use, and feels exactly like writing on a tablet. The only downside, is that there is no place to put the pen, which costs $129 if you lose it. The case that comes with it doesn’t have a pen slot. Hard to understand how such a perfectly thought out device could goose egg this. It’s like building a dream house with no bathroom. Tablet AAAA++++. Pen D-

Best thing i have ever bought for improving my organizational skills- i hold myself accountable to checking off all my items on the to do list now. Well worth the money. I get to brain dump all of my ideas in my head and organize them into a productive list that i can then prioritize and begin to check each one off. So much progress has been made since i purchased my Remarkable. I was hesitant at first because of the cost but I wouldn't hesitate to buy another down the line.

The reMarkable 2 paper tablet offers an intriguing and unique digital note-taking experience. It strikes a commendable balance between a traditional pen-and-paper feel and modern convenience, ultimately earning a respectable 4-star rating. At its best, the reMarkable 2 is an undeniably attractive device for those who value handwritten notes and doodles. The paper-like texture and the Marker Plus’s built-in eraser are very impressive features that contribute to a natural, analog-like writing experience. It feels nearly as genuine as using a traditional notebook, which is truly a stand-out quality for a digital device. The tablet's commitment to a distraction-free environment is also admirable. Its deliberate absence of notifications, pop-up ads, and social media is a much-needed respite in our digital age and a boon for users who desire focus and minimalism. The ability to convert handwritten notes into typed text and the integration with cloud services like Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive are handy features for both students and professionals. Also, the annotation function for PDFs, the live screen sharing option, and the comfortable reading experience (free from backlight or glare) further enhance the device's appeal. However, the device falls short in certain areas. Its performance feels limited and sluggish, particularly when compared to other tablets. The response times can be slow and the overall user interface lacks the fluidity one might expect from such a high-tech gadget. This is noticeable when navigating through the system or when rapidly jotting down thoughts. Additionally, while the Connect subscription provides valuable features such as cross-device note-taking and unlimited cloud storage, it is worth noting that these benefits require an ongoing subscription, which may not appeal to all users. In conclusion, the reMarkable 2 is a good tool for those who cherish the tactile experience of handwriting, but are looking to digitize their work for better organization and sharing. It's a close mimic of the traditional paper experience in the digital realm. However, given its slower performance and limitations, it leaves a bit of room for improvement. For these reasons, I give it a well-deserved 4 out of 5 stars.

I absolutely love this! its simple to use, distraction free, and easily organized. Its nice to be able to carry one "notebook" to a meeting and not be distracted by a laptop where you can get distracted by notifications and emails. The free 1 year subscription to their app is a nice bonus and honestly not extremely expensive after that.

I absolutely love this thing. Feels so much like writing on paper that my brain can focus on the activity vs the typing. It's also 1000x better than an ipad/surface for the writing experience. Much more natural. Wish it was integrated with office ecosystem so it would be more accessible when i'm on my computer. Also, some of the benefits of digital actually remove the benefits of paper (ex: 1 page can be infinitely expanded in size so you can't easily print it or see it on a computer screen; scrolling is just not the same experience as flipping through sheets of actual paper - it doesn't trigger the same 'remembering' signals that help you find things quickly). Overall it's a massive step forward and i use it where ever i can.

Bought this for my wife. She loves to take notes during meetings. She has tons and tons of meetings. This helps her keep track and the hand written notes to digital text (according to her comments) is one of the best on the market. I would recommend this device to anyone that loves to use a pen to write on paper. Quality of this product is much better than any Kindle I've seen.

Amazing product for personal and work note taking! The pen and tablet combine to create a traditional paper like feel. I have thought about what it would be like to have web search within the Remarkable, but the offline feel of the tablet really attributes to strong focus sessions. Overall great productivity tablet that will replace your vintage notepad note taking process!
