I thought this was the video game adaption to M. Night's movie The Village. After about 11 hours I finally asked myself "When are Sigourney Weaver and Bryce Dallas Howard going to show up?" It's always been my dream to actually BE Sigourney for a day, so I was disappointed when this game is actually Resident Evil. But I did have fun with it. They should add a puritanical clothing DLC package though.

one of the best games i played this year! i think its better than re7. also its hella short too.

Another great entry in the long running franchise. A more action heavy adventure in the vein of re4 that builds off the tense and superb re7. Impressive to look at, fun to play, no real bugs found, and very replayable thanks to the mercenaries mode. The only real negative I have with the game is the emphasis on action leaves the fear more sparse than desired. Though I didn't enjoy it as much as 7 it is still an easy recommend.

What a great game a lot of action and fighting to survive.

The game is good like the RE8 gameplay, and some of the story fits, but much of the rest is a bit sloppy, such as Chris playing mysterious and neglecting his responsibility towards the Winters.

Resident Evil VIII was a great game, so if you are a returning Resident Evil player, don't hesitate to purchase it any further. The game has all of the classic gameplay mechanics fans are familiar with: puzzles, weapon upgrades, and scary moments. I found it was definitely worth the sixty bucks and I can't wait to see what the next installment will bring. The reason why I am knocking off a star is because of the trophies. I typically platinum Resident Evil games, but this one seemed out of reach for me. I feel like I have to play it way too many times to complete every quest, and during the second play through, I found myself a bit disinterested since I already knew the story and the twists. Either way, it's worth it!

RESIDENT EVIL!!!! If you loved RE7, and or you love action horror games in FPS view, you’ll love this one. The RE Engine captures such beauty and realistic environments in their games which for me is an instant enjoyment, especially the atmosphere in RE7. I personally like the switch in RE8 from the zombies theme to the werewolves being the main threat. Gives that Castlevania vibe with vampires too.
