The biggest plus is being able to play videos immediately without a phone. No app required just a quick navigation to the video playback screen and the SD card videos are there. Install was easy but I have installed several variations before. I think anyone that has wired anything from a dashcam to an amplifier will find this install to be very easy with the included kits. Video clarity is nice even in low light conditions. Late night and daytime are usually the best time for video capture. Usually right when the sun goes down I have very grainy videos as the cam adjusts to conditions. This unit provides pretty good video even during that time frame. The unit is larger than my last one, so I there was a little concern about the view being blocked. But the mount does allow for adjustment where I could make it flush against the top of the dash. The base mounts solid against the dash as well and tightens to avoid jitter as we go over bumps. There are several connection methods to explore for techies. We went for the Carplay and Android Auto route with ease. Paring was quick with both operating systems with reliable reconnects. Have not needed to re-pair or do any resets. If we are both in the car and want to switch to the other phone, the process is easy by using the built in menu. Screen of course has plenty of room and is much easier to see versus the tiny screen in our car. Very responsive to touch with music and GPS apps functioning without any lag. This is a pretty cool big screen upgrade for us that we feel we can rely on. Our old Rexing cam in my truck has been running for over 6 years now and we expect this CPDuo will do the same.

I had some issues with it at first, disconnecting from my phone for a few seconds, but the technician helped download the corresponding app that has a specific section for "repair galaxy connection issues" and it fixed the problem! If i hadn't had to download an app to fix this issue, it would have 5 stars. I also recommend setting flush with the dash to prevent it from falling - it is top-heavy.

Excellent upgrade. I was thinking about changing my car since it’s an older model without CarPlay, but this Rexing dash cam saved me a lot of money. Now I can enjoy CarPlay and Android Auto just like in a new car! The video quality is super clear with both front and rear cameras, and having GPS and parking mode makes it even better. Setup was simple, WiFi connection works smoothly, and I really like the added safety of having a dash cam always recording. Great value for the price totally worth it

My car already has an in-dash display but it is only 7-inch, not touch sensitive and connect to Apple Carplay by USB connection only. I upgraded to this new dashcam from Rexing. I love the new larger 9-inch touch-sensitive screen and the wireless Bluetooth connection. I particularly like the touch of this unit. It is very responsive so navigating around it is very intuitive. It comes with the power adaptor to plug into the car fusebox. But I just use the cigarette lighter connection that also come with it. Installation took less than 30 minutes to connect the rear camera to the unit as well. Very happy with the new set up.

Well in my opinion this dash cam was easy to install specially if you done it before to run the included harness/wiring in your cabin, with a simple interface and easy to use, it has Huge screen and that's a plus for me, also I love the screen definition although in my photo you'll see glare because I haven't removed the plastic on it, Responsive touch screen and Seamless Bluetooth connectivity with Android Auto and media, fast synchronization no lagging and clear recordings, if you don't want to get distracted while driving you can leave recording on the background, I like the parking monitoring options however figuring out the fuse box for this function might be tricky. I noticed they improved the app even has a community of users who share experiences. I think this might be a great option for drivers who own either older model cars due to aux cable to play on their existing stereo system as well as people who have to use charging cable to access their Android Auto.

I've used this Carplay Dashcam for two weeks now and it's surpassing my expectations. My two favorite things about this dashcam is the fact that it provides a great Carplay experience and the fact that it's also a great dashcam. Carplay works well and similar to my newer car that has touchscreen carplay. The screen is large and high resolution. The touch screen is responsive. I especially like that I can output the audio from the Rexing via multiple methods. In my older car, I use the option to output audio via FM radio and this works great. The dashcam offers great quality in both day and nightime conditions. The touchscreen makes it super easy to configure the dashcam and review videos. The 4K resolution is crisp and I'm able to see details in the video. I'm really happy that this Rexing included everything that I needed to get started out of the box. A hardware kit and even a memory card is included. All in all this is another great product by Rexing. It works very well with my iPhone. Extremely happy with my purchase!

I purchased this Rexing dash cam to add an extra layer of protection for my daily drives with the kids. The 4K video quality is incredibly sharp, making license plates easy to read, which was my top priority. I purchased this Dash Cam for an older car without any displays. This dash cam allows me to use Android Auto and the Back up camera in addition to the Dash Cam capabilities in one device. I love that fact that it auto connects Android Auto when the dash cam starts without me even unlocking my phone. I can start the device, push the mic button and tell it my destination. The screen is large enough to easily read and use. It also will display and read messages from your phone.

Easy to use. Display was bigger than what I expected ( not a bad thing). I have attached a picture with a dollar bill to give perspective buyers a better understanding of its size ( not the best measuring tool but I didnt have a ruler )

The Rexing CPDuo-9 is essentially the upgraded version of the older CPDuo-686 (686 referring to the 6.86" screen size and the 9 referring to the 9" screen size. I personally like the larger screen size of the 9" because it allows you to see more on the screen although that might be a matter of preference since a larger screen will mean that there is more in front of your field of vision. As for hardware, the 9 runs smoothly. Having the large screen size is helpful when viewing the dual camera view (front cam and back cam). Setting up the unit was very easy - I used the plastic pusher tool to run the cables from the car port to the dash and the wires from the dash to the rear cam. A hardwire kit was included to keep the camera on even while the car is parked but I have not installed that yet. This unit is very useful for bringing an older car that lacks CarPlay and Android Auto into 2025 while simultaneously being a front and rear dash cam. I now own multiple Rexing dash cams and each one is designed with specific users in mind, with this one being the addition of wireless connectivity + dash cam footage to a car that might be lacking both. I was looking to maybe replace my radio in my truck because I wanted Apple CarPlay but when I saw this product has a dash cam I was impressed with all the Rexing had to offer. I hard wired it in and love the features. For the money you really can’t beat it.

Extremely worth the price admission! My wife’s older Durango has the backup camera fail - it also didn’t have CarPlay. I’ve been contemplating repairing the backup camera and adding the new radio to get CarPlay on the vehicle as it’s otherwise in great condition. I saw the rexing screen and for what it cost, I figured I’d give it a try. It comes with everything needed for installation. It can be easily hardwired or it can also use your power outlet (12v). The front facing dash cam is also a bonus. Running the rear backup camera was super simple as well. CarPlay works great and overall functionality of the older vehicle has improved ten-fold!

I have a work truck that didn't have a reverse camera. This is great because I can use it for security as a day cam and a reverse camera with adjustable backup line guides. My only suggestion would be a software update that allows the rear camera to be mirrored up and down. It currently can only be mirrored left to right. I had to find a creative way to install it so the picture would be a bright, it would have been a lot easier to install it "upside down" and be able to flip the image.

I am upgrading from a Rexing CP Duo 868 and all I can say is OMG! I have used Rexing dash cameras for the last decade and have never had any problems. I have one in each of my vehicles and one of my motorcycle. This new 9" multi media unit is a game changer. It still does all the things that you need it to do, just with a much larger screen. As I get older it gets harder to see things and this 9" screen brings it all back in to view.

Working hard on the installation. Hoping to be able to secure the wiring and the rear dash camera. Add the SD card and power cords before mounting. Its definitely much easier that way. So far, so good.

Overall satisfied with this unit as it was exactly what I needed for my scenario with extra stuff. My Mustang didn’t come with CarPlay but the newer ones do. This unit was able to give my CarPlay functionality while also added other stuff like a dashcam without extra cameras or wires. I am happy with the it.

The package includes everything needed for hard-wiring the dash cam and backup camera. The picture clarity is great. The only drawback would be the screen size being too big, especially for sedans, it'd block the view and create a small blind spot.
