This dashcam has been a fantastic upgrade for my new car. I had an older front-only dashcam before, but this one takes things to the next level. The large screen makes it easy to use CarPlay for navigation, music, and other apps. Mounting it on the dashboard was simple thanks to the flexible, sticky mounting pad. The touchscreen is quite responsive—maybe not iPhone-level smooth, but still works great. Both the front and rear cameras deliver high-quality video. I tested all the resolution settings and found that the 4K option is definitely best for night or low-light conditions. The included 64GB SD card provides plenty of space for recordings. The included hardwire kit is a great bonus since my previous dashcam didn’t include one. I’m not sure how much power the always-on mode draws, but it’s probably minimal, especially with the screen saver feature that turns the display off after a set time. My only issue was with the installation instructions—they were vague. The video guide missed an important step about moving the fuses into the secondary slots on the hardwire kit connectors. Once I figured that out, everything worked perfectly. Overall, I’m very happy with this dashcam. It’s reliable, packed with features, and ideal for older cars without built-in navigation or smartphone connectivity. Definitely recommended!

Overall, the dashcam works great with clear picture quality. Pros: The screen is massive, which is great for reading information. The integration with CarPlay is seamless. My apple phone instantly connects without any issues. The camera quality is pretty good. I can read license plates from cars in front w/o any issue. Cons: The screen is massive, which can block the view of the driver. The CarPlay connectivity gets a bit complicated when multiple phones are set up to connect. The mount provided limits where the dashcam can get placed in the vehicle. Overall, the dashcam has been a great addition to my vehicle. I purchased a separate Goose Neck mount allowing me to place the dashcam within arms reach, but without obstructing my view of the road. . The mount itself limits how the dashcam can be

This Rexing DashCam has been a HUGE upgrade for our 2008 Honda Pilot. We had an older Rexing dashcam installed and it has worked great. But my wife has been wanting a way to connect her phone to our audio system for music. This CPDuo-9 DashCam has been perfect for that. The large screen is great for using the CarPlay navigation, Music, and other apps. But the drawback is that it blocks some of your view out the front windshield. Mounting it to the front dash was easy with it's flexible, sticky mounting pad. Touchscreen is pretty responsive, though not as good as say an iPhone. Both the front and rear camera offer high quality video recording. I checked the different quality settings the first day, and for evening/night/low light recording, you will definitely want to make use of the highest 4k setting. The included 64gb SD card has plenty of space for recording. The UI (user interface) is pretty easy to navigate, though it took my wife and I some time to figure out the best way to connect, since there are about 5-6 ways you can connect wirelessly. My only complaint about the CarPlay connection is that our Phones do not auto disconnect after turning off and leaving the car. We have the dashcam hardwired to always be on for monitoring, so it always stays on and therefore stays connected. But it's an inconvenience for sure to constantly switch the setting on/off on our phones. Installing was about the same as the previous Rexing dashcam we own. Not easy for newbies, but with my previous experience it was fairly straightforward. My one complain and wish for the next generation is to only have 1 cord that connects and powers the whole unit. Routing and fishing multiple cords through the dash of your car is a pain and looks ugly. Simplifying this to 1 cord (USB-C) would be a huge improvement. The rear camera cord was almost not long enough. We mounted the rear camera internally, at the top of the liftgate window. The instructions say to mount externally by the license plate, but there wasn't a good spot on our Pilot. The included hardwire kit was nice to have, as our previous dashcam did not come with that. I'm not 100% sure how much the always on feature is draining the battery, but I don't imagine it's too much, especially with the screen saver mode that turns the screen black after a set time. My only complaint about the hardwire kit is the lack of detailed instructions. They link to a video to watch with basic instructions. But I got hung up when I connected to 2 fuse slots, the dashcam turned on, but the car devices for that fuse slot stopped working. I switched fuse slots about 3 times and after getting frustrated, I finally figured out that there is a secondary fuse slot on the hardwire kit connectors (see photos). Nowhere in the video/instructions does it say to replace the fuses from the slots into the hardwire kit secondary slots. Once I did that, everything worked fine. Overall I'm pretty happy with the unit and functionality. I would definitely recommend to owners of older vehicles that do not have the built in nav screens and smartphone connectivity for navigating and streaming music.
