good company with great service get the extended warranty

I've been using an inexpensive dashcam from Denicer and except for not being able to view it in the car because the screen is so tiny, I've been happy with it. I was hoping this unit with it's slightly bigger screen would allow me to view it in the car. Unfortunately for me, it doesn't. I'm barely able to view the menu and navigating the menu isn't user-friendly. I kept shutting the menu while trying to remember what button scrolls. In defense of the unit, it does have WiFi and I haven't tried it out yet. Viewing from my phone, which is also dash mounted while I drive may be a good alternative. I'll have to see and YMMV. My other gripe and probably my most troublesome part was getting the red backing off the 3m mounting tape. It was next to impossible and 3m should machine cut a tab on the backing. Also the unit should include a couple of alcohol wipes to clean the glass for mounting. Now that my negatives are posted..sorry didn't mean to start with a rant, I'll say this unit is really nice. Once you get past the initial setup and mounting, the unit works. It's a bit large, but it tucks up nicely next to the rearview mirror. The kit comes with all the cables you'll need to power up the unit, connect the rear camera and be up and running in no time. Tucking cables in the headliner and pillars is just part of any install, so no issues there. The screen is hard to see, but better than my old one and viewing the microsd card on my pc works as it should. The GPS seems to work as time and date automatically updated...thank you. One less menu setup for me! The mic switch is nice. I like mine muted and not having to go into the menu to turn it off and on is convenient. Also having the red icon light up on screen to show audio off is wonderful. One concern I have is this summer. I live in the So. Cal desert and I wonder if the mounting tape will hold up to the extreme interior temps we get. My interior is grey, so not too bad. We'll see. If not, I'll probably buy a thicker 3m tape to ensure a complete bond to the glass. I got a good bond, but I could see the middle of the plate wasn't stuck as well as I would have liked when I view it from outside the windshield. So yeah I have a few issues with the setup of this unit, but overall and once it's installed, I'd say it's a pretty sturdy kit and I'd recommend it to any driver wanting to have a witness to their daily driving. With officers unable to come to most non-injury accidents, one needs to have evidence to back up their story. It's the reason I got the first one and now with this unit mounted, I can use the other one in my truck without moving it from car to car.

Had constant issue with unit shutting on and off. Poor quality product. Failures started within 48 hours of installing.

while the product is decent enough, the supporting App is TRAGIC...... how any developer could release something to a modern market this poor is astonishing..... avoid avoid avoid.....

This is my third kind of dash camera, overall I'm impressed. It was very easy to install and for the first time when install products in a vehicle it came with plenty of cord. The installation took less than an hour. The longest part was just running the cords through the vehicle so it would look discrete. The quality of the video is great. The instructions are very vague, but if you go to the website and watch the video it makes up for the lack of instructions. The menu on the camera itself could use some work the buttons state one thing, while when using the menu, the menu states another. However once you figure that out, you're golden. I've dealt with many dash camera systems including some very high end products for commercial use and this camera met and exceeded my expectation.

This dash cam is great right out of the box. I mounted the front camera to the right of my rear view mirror on top of the windshield. I routed the rear camera cable from the front camera down into the trim along the floor and back up into the rear windshield. There is a plastic pry tool included with the camera which I thought was very thoughtful. What I Liked: The camera comes on and starts recording without much setup. I did have to format my SD card before it would record on it. They include enough cabling to route the camera and power cable in my mid-sized sedan. Lots of quality options including FPS along with UHD settings. Menus are easy to navigate and adjust the settings for. The unit itself isn’t very large so with where I’ve mounted it, it doesn’t distract or obstruct my view of the road. It loop records either 1 minute or 3 minutes or you can turn it off all together for continuous recording, more on this later. It comes with two mounting brackets so you can mount in multiple vehicles or in multiple locations depending on your needs. You can connect to the device via wifi broadcast and watch videos from you mobile device or PC without having to remove the SD card. What I Didn’t Like: This is where I mentioned the loop recording. The loop recording records 1 or 3 minute clips and deletes old clips as the space in the SD card reaches capacity. I wish it had a 5-minute option. I’m currently using the 3-minute option, and with loop recording off, it just stops when memory is full. I’m not sure if this is common among dash cams, but I found scrubbing through 80 1-3 minute video clips to find specific footage a bit annoying. There isn’t an internal battery. It would be nice if it recorded a few minutes after turning the vehicle off.

Rexing - V1P Pro Front and Rear Camera Dash Cam. I’ve been debating getting a dash cam for a few years, but an accident last month ended the debate. When I want a witness, this full-time, front and rear facing neutral observer will fill in nicely. It was very encouraging that everything worked right out of the box. The image was sharp, and the controls were logical. The 1080p 30fps image from both cameras was certainly sharp enough for me, and they both had a very wide field of view (170 degrees). The brightness and well balanced lighting was effective both day and night. Access to the Rexing’s recordings was via WiFi to my phone. SETUP: Good instructions are a nice start. The Rexing V1P Pro is easy to connect and the included wires for both cameras are all VERY long. There are included adhesive pads, and even a tool to pry the various panels where you might run your wires. I did a quick temporary mounting. However, if neatness counts, my new premium vehicle (lease) is going to require a professional for final installation. This is beyond my interest and ability. However, it does NOT look difficult and I’d bet many others will have no problem using an online video for guidance for your vehicle. The front camera must be mounted high enough on the windshield so you can see the (angled) down screen and use the controls. It needs to be powered from somewhere (Power plug included) and it needs to connect to the wire coming from the rear camera. Geek Squad installer?!? COMPLAINTS: More like quibbles, but: 1- I think Rexing should include even a small capacity, formatted, memory card in the box. 2- The instructions suggest that the rear camera can be mounted either up or down, and the toggle switch on the rear camera will flip the image. Nope. Gotta mount above. That toggle switches the image horizontally, and NOT vertically. This is just goofy, and hopefully corrected in an update. 3- Rear camera is wonderfully compact. Front? Not so much, especially for a mid-sized sedan or smaller. PERFORMANCE: This camera has lots of useful features beyond what I covered earlier. It has a built in GPS and will record speed, time, date and location on your recordings. It relies on a Super Capacitor instead of a Lithium battery for improved reliability. It continuously loops, overwriting the oldest recording. . . until there is an incident which then triggers a G-sensor which locks the recording to prevent over-writing. The screen is 2.4” and the rear image is inset onto the front image during use. Retrieving the images results in separate rear and front “movies”. According to Rexing, a 64GB Memory Card will record 7 hours before overwriting; a 128GB card will record for 14 hours. Both are measured using the default settings. RECOMMENDATIONS: The REXING V1P is useful, simple to operate, simple to setup (for many), and easy to recommended. It’s going to be a great witness.

Nice product! After an unfavorable insurance claim resolution, I decided this investment was cheaper than paying my deductible again if I wasn't at fault! The included hardwire kit looks fairly easy to use, but I don't have any spare fuse slots in my car, so I have not set it up. The normal power supply (cigarette lighter plug) works really well and was easy to set up. Hiding the wires out of sight was fairly simple - just be careful not to cross over or impede any supplemental airbags (like curtain airbags) as that can be a pretty big safety hazard. All in all a great product with quality footage. Haven't needed it's video evidence yet and hopefully won't for a while!

I was in the market for a Front and Rear camera, since there have been so many scams in my area. I believe that the Rexing V1P does an amazing job in giving me that High definition resolution for both Front and Rear. From opening the box to installation in my Sienna, it was pretty time consuming. The Installation was pretty straightforward but for me, I hate having so many cables dangling out, especially if I wanted to have a clean look and not have anything showing. The rear camera was where I had the most issues because I was installing it on my mini-van, and had difficulty getting a good angle to catch video imaging there. This would work perfectly in a smaller car, or a small SUV since there are no flat vertical surfaces for the rear camera. Other than that, I’m very satisfied with the quality and the ease of use. I had a 32GB memory card and installed that without any difficulty. It will automatically record and loop over your old recordings once you run out of room on your memory card. Pros: • High quality HD videos. • Comes with review screen • Comes with an awesome plastic pry tool Cons: • Cables are hard to hide. • Doesn't come with microsd card • Ideally made for a car or small SUV, not a Mini-van

I was told that it didn’t need to be installed that I could do it myself. So it hasn’t been install. Also the store I purchased this item from has no installers in the MWC store. So I can’t rate this product.. Probably going to return it

I have good experience with Rexing.. hence I got this new version... PROBLEM is.... the wiring for the rear camera is VERY VERY SHORT ! No good for Volkswagen Atlas owners! I have a 2020 VW Atlas ... The cable length in my opinion are only good for sedans, hatchbacks , small trucks, small SUVs .... so buyers be aware !!! Measure , measures ! I have to return this sucker ! I guess I’ll deal with my old Rexing HD front camera....

Let me start with…..I wish this were available when I had fender benders that weren’t necessarily my fault, yet per one officer’s finding, “I cannot determine location of debris impact!” This is an AWESOME system that has some very cool features. Mainly, I am geeked to know that I have a recording system in my car that will capture video of what’s going on around me while driving. The installation of this system is user-friendly, but I will note, please take your time and make sure you follow the steps closely. The built in GPS accurately records speed, time, dates and locations of recordings. The video display is crystal clear. Overall, I highly recommend this system to users, because one never knows when a wreck can possible occur and you’ll have that reliable witness that has you covered.

I'm loving this camera. It has two modules and records both front and back simultaneously at 1080p 30fps (it can record at 4k, if you only use the front one). Great to record any unfortunate events, like getting in a car crash, and you will have proof of what happened. The camera has an integrated GPS module too, so no need of external modules to plug. You just need to download the GPS software from their website. Oh, and once installed, make sure you have the latest firmware! If not, download it and install it, as it adds parking mode (the camera detects any collision while your car is parked and off, but you must buy a separated connector that will provide 24/7 power, there are ones you can find online that have car battery protection, so it doesn't drain your car battery dead), it also adds support for greater sizes SD cards. Video quality is great and also supports night mode recording. The length of the cables is adequate and it actually comes with little self adhesive tabs and a prying tool to be able to route the cables nicely through your car's headliners. The front cam itself is a little big, because of the nice size screen. Just make sure you position it well, before peeling the self adhesive to set it up, unfortunately due the size, it does not have suction cups, you must use self adhesive tabs (included). Only con, is it doesn't come with an SD card, but they're cheap nowadays, so be prepared to buy one in advance. In, all, I highly recommend this camera, specially with insurance fraud rampant, and a lot people out there driving recklessly its a must!

This dash cam is awesome! It comes with a rear view camera which helps alot with my big SUV. The software is very intuitive in my opinion. It has WiFi capabilities which makes it easy to download videos instead of removing memory card etc. The GPS capabilities I don't really use but it can show your location and is pretty cool. My only complaint is that it is pretty big. Other than that, a really cool add on and gives you piece of mind when driving and there are some questionable drivers.

It is not even ok product, Wireless app is long due for update, It doesnt work properly..picture quality is bad , specially at night...it is software enhanced 1080p not actual 1080p..both front an rear camera, i wish i could return it and full money back, it is too late now becuse i thought i should give more time time to get used to it, i guess i gave to much time I am now SOL!!

This is my first ever Dash Cam. This V1P Pro offers a lot of nice features, such as front and back camera’s with nice HD 170° ultra-wide-angle lenses. It offers loop recording, Wi-Fi interface for viewing on you smart phone, built in GPS logger and even collision detection.

I was involved involved in an auto accident on Sept. 17th and it was all caught thanks to this cam. The drunk driver hit me near head on and the cam managed to stay put. Although, the entire windshield shattered into millions of little pieces. It did its job better than i expected. The video locked as it stated it would be. The time, date and spees stamp are invaluable. It may not be the newest or fanciest, however its well worth considering.

Installation: I was hesitant about the installment process once I became aware it would be best for the cords to run behind the trim. Made an appointment at Best Buy and it was completed in about an hour. First impression: The front camera is a little big, but not a dealbreaker. Once I read the instructions, it was simple to use. The rear camera is small and hardly noticeable in the rear window. Road Test: Both cameras pick up clear pictures; day and night. I love that the cameras have a timestamp, speed and GPS for location. Nitpicks: 1) You will have to buy a micro SD memory card; it’s not included with the camera. Bought a 128GB micro SD on sale for $30. 2) If you don’t purchase the wiring kit, you will lose your 12v plug in order to use this dashcam. Overall: It’s a great dashcam and the extras functions are a bonus.

The view of the rear camera is a picture in picture (wish I could choose which one to display on the LCD screen) Software is easy to use, just open the program and click file: open and select the video. Not sure why the video when played in the software player is a bit blurry when it is also displaying map speed etc. but when expanded it is clear and when I check it from the saved file and play it through .vlc player it looks great. License plates are very clear and can be made out easily in the daytime Cons The size is substantially bigger than other models, understandable since this has the GPS built in and allows for rear view camera connection. The wire for the rear camera was very long! I have a Volkswagen Alltrack and had to tuck a lot of the wire in the roof. Minor cons No alcohol swabs and cloths provided The software on the computer could use more attention. The player controls and video are not smooth. Not sure why there was no G sensor data when I opened my selected video. Overall a nice vehicle camera.

I had so much trouble getting the dash cam to work correctly that I finally gave up. The installation is quite complex to the point I felt defeated and just returned it.
