Having owned three different cameras from this, and I can say the video quality is pretty great for both cameras. This dash cam is a bit bulkier than others on the market, but that’s mostly due the hardware included. The GPS logging is great, and allows you to see the route you took on a map within the app. Downloading video is fairly simple. You just connect to the WiFi connection from the camera, open the app, and select the video you’d like to download to your phone. Video is super clear, easily able to see license plates in front and behind you. Having a rear camera is new to me, and I’m wondering why I never thought of getting one with a rear cam before. There was also plenty of cable included to run the camera along the side of my sedan, and still have some extra. I will say that the controls on the front camera/monitor unit are a bit finicky. I experienced some delay and found the unit to become unresponsive. This required a restart of the device, but hasn’t been an issue since the one instance. Some things to note: Grab an extra cleaning cloth (microfiber) to wipe the lens down after installation, and some alcohol wipes to clean the surface where the camera will mount. The box didn’t include these two things, but does come with a handy pry tool and some wire management accessories to make for a clean install. You’ll also need a good sized microSD memory card. I had a spare 64gb Card which was recognized quickly and was immediately ready for use. Overall, this is a great camera for casual every day use and peace of mind of having any incidents captured. I think this is great commercial drivers, as this captures quite a bit of data, including location without the need to add an external device. The app is fairly easy to use, and is probably one of the better ones on the market (my opinion).

    ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!

This is a FANTASTIC product. I have had two of these in my cars for about two years now. I bought them after I had an accident on an interstate highway where the other driver said I changed lanes into her when if fact she came onto the highway from a ramp and went directly into the middle lane and into my right front fender. The FHP Officer said I was lucky not to have flipped but also said that since we both said that the other driver was at fault he could not issue a summons and therefore each person had to pay for their own damages, The camera would have been a LOT cheaper if I had it a month sooner. PLUS, this has the rear camera so if someone runs into the back of your car and says that you backed into them you will be able to prove them wrong. Believe me when I say this is well worth double the money and with Best Buy's Tech support it was installed for free. Oh yeah, and the picture quality is great. You can download them to your computer and when your child, like mine, comes home and says that the car in front of him slammed on his brakes for no reason at all you can see that the other car was stopping for a red light and had a good reason to stop. GROUNDED FOR A MONTH!!!

Filmed last seconds of the accident...

I figured that since I was recently involved in an accident, And this was installed and running. I would provide my review from that perspective. Filmed last seconds of the accident... I was pretty impressed with this. I had it installed for several months, just prior to the accident. The camera worked great just prior and during the actual impact, and then died very shortly afterwards. It caught what was needed on video. SD card was a mess afterwards, trying to recover the data... It did exactly what it is intended to do. Sadly it does not work anymore, after the accident. But I do plan on buying another one here shortly! You won't be disappointed. I think if there was a "con" the wifi feature never worked for me. I spent weeks trying to get it to work, and finally gave up trying. I was really hoping that feature would work :( Easy to install. Menu was easy to see and navigate. GPS, you have to buy an external GPS for that to work. I never did buy it. So I can not comment on that feature. But heads up, you have to buy the GPS unit and it attaches to this. SD card was kind of a pain to get in and out of the dash camera most of the time. It does hold bigger capacity sd cards. I used a 64GB. The most IMPORTANT thing to remember is get the FASTEST read/write speed sd card you can find. Trust me when I tell you this. If you do not, you will be highly disappointed. If you do, you will be highly pleased! Get the fastest read/write sd card you can find! I liked how the date and time would sync to the GPS. Forgot to explain: GPS works for syncing the date and time. You have to buy an external GPS unit, for it to track your vehicle movement. Front camera was pretty good. Not the best, not the worst. It got the job done. The quality at night was better than most, but not the best. I recorded with both front and back all the time. Doing so, it won't let you record in the highest quality setting. So my review is based on the lower settings, based on me wanting to record both front and back cameras at the same time. Rear camera was alright in quality. It records decently, but poor at night. But you can definitely make out details on objects and vehicles during the daytime. Daytime you can make out plates. Night time, you more than likely will not. It had a nice long wire to install with. So I am pretty confident if you are worried about it not being too long, rest assured this wire will fit alot of vehicles. Few tips on the install. It is easy to install yourself. Make sure you clean the surface extremely well just prior to the install. And make sure you clean the lens of the cameras, prior to the install. You can hide the wiring under the flooring or behind the roofing and boards. Just be careful to not install it near any airbags! Best to directly connect it to your battery. Make sure your vehicle is turned off and battery is disconnected when you are doing the install. Make sure you get a very FAST write/read sd card to use in this. You will thank me later... Camera placement: The best place is smack dab in the middle of the windshield and back windows. Make sure it is centered. The front dash camera I had just under my mirror. It looked great there and worked perfectly! Rear camera, place in the middle top area of you back window. The higher placement will see "over" your trunk area, and see much more of what needs to be recorded. I would definitely recommend this camera. I am going to be buying another one shortly.

The quality of the front and rear videos are really great. Both cameras are very easy to install. One problem I did have with the rear camera was that it was interfering with my satellite radio so I had to move it about a foot away from the antenna and now everything is working perfect. This is my first dash cam and I'm really happy with everything about this camera.

Dash cameras are very popular in several European countries (especially Russia). I believe dash cams will catch on in popularity in the years ahead. People are investing in smart home technology so the smart car is the next evolution. I purchased a new car recently and wanted to add video to the vehicle. After looking at the instruction manual, I probably could have gotten through the installation but I decided to have a friend who is a car geek help me install it. I'm glad I did as my vehicle presented to some challenges on where to mount the rear camera. Once everything was connected, operation the cameras was straightforward I am very impressed with the quality of the video. It is super-crisp and clear. In my cold weather climate, the fog on the rear window presented some problems but the defroster helped to clear things up. This probably isn't for everyone, but the Vexing V1P Pro offers a great option for a high-quality front & back camera system.

Very good product the screen on the camera could be a little bigger especially when you see the rear camera in the upper left corner. Installation was easy with the supplied tool.i would recommend this unit for someone who is looking to capture events while traveling.looking forward to really use it on our trip to key west florida.

This was fairly easy to use and setup. I consider myself pretty tech savvy but I was a little nervous poking wires around my car. BUt it all went okay. It has nice picture quality from both cameras – Day and night views. The software is decent and shows all basic info you would expect. I like that it has Wide angle lens CONS: I wish this would have come with a memory card. Be aware of this as you will need it before you can use the unit. The front camera unit is fairly large so be careful where you place it on your windshield. Overall, I am pretty happy with this unit. It does what it advertises, and that is capture video both front and rear. I didn't know if I need this but it sure is nice now that I have it.

Great pictures and very easy self installation by myself. Great picture from both cameras. Controls easy to navigate. Wifi to phone app..almost useless and you will drive yourself nuts trying to figure out why. Instructions are very vague and lacking information. Have mine hardwired in with an add a circuit I bought at local commie run box store..I have to press record to get it going...doubt it senses the parking setting...can't tell cause I haven't been able to connect to see the video!! Spend your money elsewhere

There are things to like about this camera system. And there things that are frustrating about it as well. First, when you mount the main part on your windshield make sure it's where you want it as it uses an adhesive rather than a suction cup. Second, make sure you're comfortable runnining wires/cables beneath your headliner for the "backup" camera. For me it was a pain in the butt to find a way to run the power cable from the main unit to the power outlet without having it dangle in the way. If you're like me with a tinted rear window the picture you'll get from the backup camera will be sub-par at best. The picture from the main unit (front facing) is much better than I was expecting, more in line with what one saw with 2016 era smartphone cameras. Overall, this isn't a bad camera but just be prepared for some wiring work.

I got this professionally installed by a mechanic friend of mine and I'm glad I did because I see a bunch of steps I would have messed up. It works like a dream, the camera quality is perfect the playback on the app is perfect and even the rear cam attachment was easy to install. Perfect for someone looking to expand their older car with a new car feel.

I am thrilled with the Rexing dashcam I watched a lot of crash videos before buying and Rexing was the most popular brand that came up in them - it was the clearest picture and the best sound. It sure cost a lot less than my $1000 deductible.
