Nice dash cam

I did initially have some struggles with the SD card formatting but once I got a new card it worked just fine. Plug it in to the car and set your loop. I was able to sync it with my wifi and got the app up and running just fine. I did not find the directions to be very intuitive and really wish you could have it plugged in to an outlet or computer to test and fiddle with. But beyond that it plugs into the car and you are set.

Upon turning on encounters “ cluster error format sd card” however unable to format. Looked at forums multiple people had this same issue with this brand and model

There's TimaCam that works better. Works ok. If you need to download, take the mini-SD card out or take the unit and download. The camera is hard to work with.

So we did that according to the directions and it still says it. Not to mention the it keeps randomly turning off and on.

I went to the Madison, MS store to have it looked at (where I had it installed) and the customer service manager said I have to wait until they hire a new installer because they don't have one or if I want it fixed now I would have to drive to the Hattiesburg store which is over 90 miles away. In this area (2 Best Buy Stores) they are not in a rush to hire installers because the Flowood store has been without one for a while. Do not buy anything for your car in central MS unless you plan to have it installed somewhere else.

The screen started separating from the body after 2 weeks. Im in Texas and it was early spring at the time. If this camera cant stand up to spring time temps, it will never last through a summer. Poor quality. Props to BestBuy for the hassle free return though. I was a few days past the return window and was expecting them to resist but that didnt happen. Still looking for a better alternative.

Hard to navigate between functions. HD is good. Playback microphone was very scratchy. Not sure what it was. Returned it to the store for refund.

Posted .Hi! Thank you for your review. I am sorry you had issues with it and were not satisfied with your device. The scratchy sound could have been from the vehicle's vibrations. A firmware update could make the interface a lot more responsive as well.

I can read license plates of not only the car in front of me but also vehicles on both side too. Setup and install we're pretty simple. Hiding the power cable can be a little time-consuming depending on how well you hide it. The on screen options are easy to navigate. And the in cab camera picks up sound along with the great quality video. And in my truck the cigarette lighter has power all the time so this dash camera acts like a security watching down my driveway every night. I am very happy with the build quality & functionality of this dash cam. Where it loses a star is the mobile app. I'm not sure if the app needs work or if it would just be better to start all over. I didn't have any luck at all with the app on my Iphone. But my last dash cam didn't have a app so it's some thing I can live with out. Comes with a 32gb sd card to store your videos on.
