A: yes it slides off mount also you can buy the suction cup as well.
Q: Does it record all the time or continuous when vehicle off
A: It must be hard wired to record when vehicle is parked. Their is a setting that has to be turned on and set according to sensitivity of vehicle being possibly hit for it to record. This setting will not work if you plan on plugging it into a cigarette lighter
A: I had trouble with power coming from the usb almost as if not enough power was supplied. I ended up using the power cable that connects to the cigarette light that comes in the package and I haven’t had a problem since.
Q: Will this dash cam record license plates?
A: It will only if you are using the front camera at high resolution, but keep in mind the in cabin camera won’t be able to record at the same time. Hope this answers your question!
Q: What is the hardwire kit for Rexing V3
A: in fact the hardwire kit comes for free with this item (currently) on BestBuy. It's the same hardwire kit available on the Rexing website for $14.99. The Hardwire kit is for having it run to OBD or the fusebox or whatever, directly for power. The other option is you use the cable that plugs into your cigarette lighter, which does not provide any power when the car is turned off and parked in case it gets hit. If you are hardwired, with the kit, then it has sensitivity settings and should start recording immediately upon getting hit
Q: Does the rear camera detach to mount to rear window?
A: No it does not detach.
