“Will the dashcam work off of the car's USB port (for power)? I connect my phone to the USB port and it starts charging (battery status is green). Not sure if the USB port puts out enough "power" (not for fast charging).”

I had trouble with power coming from the usb almost as if not enough power was supplied. I ended up using the power cable that connects to the cigarette light that comes in the package and I haven’t had a problem since.

It’s better to use the cigarette lighter because it gives out enough power for the dash cam I believe the usb is mostly used for transfer the dash cam to go over the recording in your camera if you don’t have an accessory for the sd card for you labtop or computer
