Terrible mic and wires
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So first of all the mic rig 500 was on a shelf for 69.99 but when I got the the register it was 100.00 is still bought it it was great on the first day the the next day went to unmute the mic but instead of unmuting the mic became a worm it won’t stay up to mute when you talk it’s really quite because it fall a inch under your mouth and the wires are so thin if you bend them just a little they rip so you have to get a new audio cord

Dont buy these headphones
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These headphones stopped working thirty days after purchasing and the company that makes them has sold the company so you are OUT OF LUCK. You can only contact this new company via email, good luck with that... Best BUY only guarantees these 14 days after you receive them, if you do not purchase the extended warranty, so beware!! What ever happened to 30 days and you can bring back to the store! These companies have gotten richer making inferior products with no warranties and the stores sell them knowing full well they do not work...well, they may for 14 days!! Do NOT BUY!!!!

Shoddy mic design
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just as several others have posted, I too had the shoddy mic design issue. After 2 weeks of use, you could no longer lock the mic into the mute position. It now just falls limp. 2 (two) weeks it lasted. Steer clear- no longer Plantronics quality

Fatal flaw in mic hinge
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Im on my third RIG500 and I can no longer recommend this company. They used be owned by Plantronics, but recently were bought by a company in Europe. Support is awful, and both other 500 headsets I've bought in the past have had the mic hinge screw snap. I tried fixing one and its so flimsy, I wasn't surprised it didn't last more than a month. Unfortunately, it snapped a week after the Best Buy warranty ran out, and now the company wants me to ship it to Europe.... yeah right, thanks.

Bass is too heavy no audio control
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to like this headset. For the price as some of the other ones it seemed like a good purchase and brand. The mic is super sensitive and caused an echo while playing due to sound leakage from the headset. There is only a control for overall volume on the headset and could only use it no more than half way. This way to stop the echo. This then caused you to miss audio cues while playing a game and miss out on Important clues as to who or what was around you. The Dolby audio is only good for 2 years and did help but I shouldn’t have to rely on an additional subscription to make it work well.

Buy this on Amazon
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We owned this item for 2 weeks and one day. The microphone came loose. I took it back and they said they cannot help us. They directed us to the manufacturer because it had been more than 2 weeks. Amazon has a much better return policy and I wish I bought it on amazon. I chose Best Buy to go into a physical store and they disappointed us greatly.

Terrible headset
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Terrible headset. One side of headphones stopped working. People could hear themselves they your own mic so you'll need to lower it almost to zero. Only good thing about this product is the free atmos dolby subscription.

Trash
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't waste your money on this. The plantronics only work if you spend for the high end one. Installed the Dolby app on my Xbox, app says ready to use and I have no sound regardless of what position the volume knob is in. Instruction manual is minimal at best. Zero customer support outside of an email option. I will be returning for a different brand that functions properly.
