I’m very impressed with the sound quality of this headset. I’ll start with the only complaint I have about it. It’s the Dolby Atmos app. I couldn’t set them up properly for the life of me. I entered the included code, and the Dolby Atmos app shows that I have 24 month access but when I go into the xbox settings to turn it on, it keeps telling me that I need to connect a supported headset. *shrug* I cannot tell if the feature is on or not while gaming. I’ll keep digging online to see if there is a work around. Regardless… the headset sounds amazing. I played some warzone and fortnite and the headset does an amazing job at 3D audio. I can definitely tell what direction gun fire is coming from. I can tell what direction footsteps are. Explosions and gun fire are loud and booming. It makes for a very immersive gaming experience. These are going to be my main gaming headsets for the foreseeable future. Hopefully I can find a way to properly set up the Dolby Atmos feature. They are very comfortable for extended gaming sessions and the mic quality is also very good. My friends say my voice comes through nice and crisp. If your browsing for a gaming headset and you came across these, go ahead and buy them, you’ll be very pleased with the sound quality and comfort of this headset.

It’s hard to hear the volume could be better. Not very happy with the amount I paid for it.

Aesthetically pleasing, light weight, simple to use, and just works like you expect it to. Don't expect super amazing audio, but it does the job and is still really good. RIG is still a solid and well established brand name too. The flexibility and lightness allows me to wear it for hours while gaming and is really great for games where sound matters like in FPS games. Highly recommended!

My son goes through many headsets and this one didnt last long. It broke quickly.

Ive only owned 2 xbox headsets previously, a wireless one amd now this one. The wireless one was nice but it would die alot and then I couldn’t use it until i recharged it. It was ok but a bit tedious. Im glad i gave this one a try. The cord doesn’t bother me as much as i thought it would. Out the box you have just the mouthpiece to attach. The wire that runs to the controller is hard wired into the headset. Plug and play. On the cord there is a volume adjust slider. *Note here that when I first turned on my game I had the slider at medium and could barely hear anything. Turned it up to “max” and still low low sound. I was ready to give this 1 stars. Well what you have to do is go to the controller device settings on the xbox console. Apparently there is a volume setting there as well. I didnt know that. Once i turned that up, the sound was great. No issues. It also comes with a 2 yr dolby digital sub for extreme sound, but i did not feel the need for that. Sounds good as is. The headset is super comfy. Fits my head great too. Its nice because it is adjustable if you have a smaller or larger head. Can “pop off” the ear pieces and slide them up or down. Thats a good feature. Overall I would recommend this. Very durable and reliable.

I currently only own 3 pairs of gaming headsets. What I am going to compare this to is the RIG 400HX. I have the version that is all black with silver writing. These have a volume control on the cord that is very handy when trying to game and have interruptions. The cord itself is flat. The length of the mic comes to the edge of my mouth but I've have been told that there are no problems hearing me when I talk. The best part of these are the comfort. The 400HX barely fit over my ears so they are a little tight but the 500 Pro HX fit just right and are very comfortable for long hours of play. The sound is also an improvement over the 400HX. It's not that they are louder but it is like the sound seems closer to you. When I play SWBF2, EWOK hunt, I can hear the little critters walking around in the woods and I can tell where they are coming from. The bass is good but not extra good. An excellent addition is that it comes with a 2 year Dolby Atmos activation code. Overall these are a great upgrade from the 400HX and worth the purchase.

The RIG 500 Pro HX is an amazing value for your Xbox console! Super comfortable to wear for many hours, perfect for those long late night gaming sessions! The sound is amazing too, the Dolby Atmos is phenomenal!!! If you’re looking for the best value and amazing sound quality look no further.

I had the earlier model and the cord/speakers started to go out on me. I was very happy with the set. I am happy with this one it's just about the same, but the overhead part is metal now vs plastic before. The metal feels sturdier. Easy to setup and use right out of the box sounds great, works great, headphone cord plugs right into your xbox remote or whatever you want to use it for (3.5MM plug)

From day one my son complained about these having an echo. I returned them back to the store the next day. A BB associated recommended the Astro for $49.99, so far no complaints.

Literally used 3 times before mic started having major issues. Will get replaced and hopefully work better than this pair.

If you're looking for a decent headset at a good price definitely check this one out. The sound is pretty good. Definitely comfortable and lightweight and although it says for Xbox it will work for ps4 and pc. The only con I have is the wire is a little short for me.

I have the first set that came out, and I can tell you that those are gone and this one reigns supreme. This set is great, the volume adjustment is on the cord, the cord is not a flimsy cord. The cord is flat and seems very durable. The comfort of these things is great, so great that my kiddo love to wear them as well. The microphone comes with a windsock which helps with the unwanted noises. I really have no complaints about these. They are great!

Awesome, clean, crisp audio. Comfortable and can play and wear them for hours without any soreness. Best headset I've purchased by far. Absolutely recommend to anyone who wants a great sounding headset without breaking the bank.

Great headset. Not much more to add. Clean sound all around. Natural, crisp reproduction and very comfortable, even for longer periods of time. I owned the model before these, and sound reproduction has noticeably improved. Combine that with the Atmos for headphones in Windows and I’m hearing things that were missed by my surround system! Not sure what you may be looking for, but these will fit the bill from novice to expert.

These headphones are nice and comfy. I love the flip to mute mic feature and the adjustable pull-away ear cups. The light metal frame gives it that sleek professional gamer look. came with a 2 year dolby atmos subscription to test the Sound quality and its phenomenal! I do have a problem with the Dolby Atmos feature and for me this is a deal breaker: Xbox doesn't have dolby atmos built-in so you gotta pay for a subscription to unlock the best quality sound these headphones have to offer? It's not worth it to me, im not paying a monthly fee for sound.

The RIG 500 PRO HX is a great headset for the average gamer. The headset is comfortable for long hours of play, your ears and head stay cool and the headset doesn't feel heavy. The sound quality is acceptable and works perfectly for games like COD and Fortnite. You get a nice clear directional sound which has become important in gaming today.

These are great for gaming, fit well, sound us great - microphone works great and now we are gaming on the Xbox every week and kids enjoy it too!
