I am a huge fan of the original Rig 500 headset. The generation 2 Rig 500 improves on everything from the original. The ear cups are comfortable and the headset size is easy to adjust. I have sensitive ears, so I have to adjust the headset every few hours for long play sessions, but it is easy to make even small adjustments for comfort, or big adjustments for different sized heads. I was worried that the new version might remove the inline volume control, but it is, thankfully, still present. The sound is amazing, and clear, as is the microphone performance. FYI, the Dolby Atmos license is well worth it, be sure to redeem it ASAP to get the most out of your headset.

This RIG 500 Pro HX Xbox gaming headset offers a nice balance of quality and price. The headset has a strong feel given the steel frame while still managing to be a reasonable weight. Sizing variability includes small, medium and large so most should find a comfortable fit. I liked the earcup material and found the feel to be comfortable for an extended period of time. The sound quality was quite good at this mid-range price point. The added bonus is the included 2 year activation for Dolby Atmos. It’s nice that the app availability includes Xbox and PC allowing audio customization to elevate sound quality all the more. It’s a nice offering to elevate the gaming experience with 3D sound by Dolby Atmos. Two mic features that I especially like are the ability to mute the mic simply by lifting it up and having the ability to easily remove the mic. This headset is a good choice given the quality, price and 2 year Dolby Atmos activation code.

The RIG 500 PRO HX XBox Gaming Headset with 3D Audio is a good buy. I immediately noticed a significant improvement in sound over my previous XBox headset. Especially as far as a sense of greater detail and spacing for where sounds are coming from in a particular game world. Also an improvement in the sound volume and strength - much appreciated. Using Dolby Atmos added a noticeable bump up to the already strong spatial sound. I like the overall build and design. However, I wish there were something built into the phones that would make it possible to securely wrap the cord around when not using it. I'm also not a fan of the flat cord, but these are both matters of personal taste. All-in-all this is a very good gaming headset for a decent price.

It has a striking design that is complimented by its lightweight yet durable frame. The meat and potatoes of this headset is the sound! It comes with 2 years of Dolby Atmos! Once activated this headset soars above others! Playing call of duty I was able to pin point everyone’s movements. I felt like they were in the room with me! I can’t recommend this product enough for any gamer!

This headset is just perfect, plug and play install, sorrounds the whole ear and very comfortable, they look great and mic is just plug and go on the headset. I love the volume control for those times when a noisy player joins.

Overall great quality and build. Having had a mono rig in the past, I expected this to be of great quality. It does not disappoint.

Quite possibly the best gaming headphones ive used in years.

I really, really wanted to like this headset. I mean, in pictures it looks great and the materials used in the build are a bit above average for a set of headphones in this price range. But there is one crucial flaw that is an absolute deal breaker for me and that is the comfort wearing them, or lack of to be more specific. If you have a super tiny head, these are perfect for you. If you have a medium, or heaven forbid, a large sized head you will not like these. While the build quality is rather nice the problem is there is no way on this earth to slide the cans down to adjust for the size of your head. For me, at best, they kind rest over the top half of my ears at an awkward angle that makes them rather pointless for their intended purpose. To be fair I was able to canter them on my head so I could cover one ear at a time to judge sound quality, which seems nice, but because I could only try on one ear at a time I can't speak to their stereo or virtual surround sound capabilities. I wanted to like these. But because of one serious design flaw I just can't.

This is my third set of these headphones, and they keep getting better. The 3D sound that is built in the games these days is unexplored. I'm an audiophile and I love to hear everything. Doesn't matter what I'm playing or if I'm watching something that has 5.1 Dolby it takes advantage. Love this headset highly recommend you get one.
