Customers consistently note the excellent sound quality and comfortable fit of the 500 Pro HX GEN 2 Xbox Gaming Headset. Many appreciate the lightweight design and Dolby Atmos integration, enhancing the overall gaming experience. However, some users express concerns regarding the inline volume control and the permanently attached cable. The bass response is also a point of contention for some customers.

It’s pretty tight on the head. It could be that I have a big head but other than that the sound is good.

Not sure if I expected too much from these… I ordered them online so when I received them I was let down by the quality of the plastics on the mic and the volume control. They felt super flimsy and cheap. The band is super comfortable and the audio is decent but I wasn’t a fan of the plastic parts.

Didn’t even last a year before the pleather cover over speakers started coming off exposing the foam padding. Barely used it too. This was an upgrade from the 400. Luckily had the warranty and exchanged it for the 600 hope this makes it past a year.

This headset rivals many of the competitors that cost much more. The headset has three adjustments for a perfect fit and is super lightweight. You barely even know it is on and the mic works very very well. The mic can be removed or moved up to easily mute. A huge bonus is that is supports Dolby Atmos and includes two years of a subscription to the feature. Dolby Atmos works great with supported games and the sound seems so lifel-like that it is hard to tell if the sounds are coming from the game or the room that you are in. As an avid gamer you cannot go wrong with this headset and this will be primary gaming accessory going forward.

This headsets do sound. Extremely good. At first they were a little on the low side of the sound, I figured that it needed an adjustment. Then after that it works great. No complaints.

These are fantastic headphones to have for your gaming setup. RIG 500 Pro HX does the job you need it to do on the fly. While some might be put off by the super gamer aesthetic; I quite enjoy it as a give it a distinct look among the crowd it headphones in the gaming space. While somewhat “Militant and barebones” the design is really unique.
There are wired headphones and can also be used on a Windows PC for cheating and gaming as it uses 3.5mm headphones. RIG 500 does feel durable as it can probably handle many drops as well as the headband is strong and feels good on top of the head. Adjustable ear cups can be snapped to fit your ear. The earcups are nice and plush on top of the ears which gives these headphones an all-around comfortable feeling during longer play sessions. The headphones are super light I feel like on top of the head.
50 mm drivers give good clear and sound quality. In this price range, they are fine. Probably what sets it apart is 2 years of Dolby Atmos that’s included with your RIG 500. Dolby Atmos is literally the pinnacle gaming sound when using. Using it on the Xbox was a delight as it was using it on a Windows 10 PC. All channels of sound or around you and it’s literally like you’re on the battlefield with a wide range of beautiful sounds. Everything from footsteps, bullet shells hitting the ground, hearing the gears shift accurately in racing games. I love it and I think it’s where a lot of manufacturers should go now when gaming headsets.
The mic itself is adjustable and can “fold to mute” up when not in use. The microphone is pretty good letting your voice be heard, friends claim the mic sounded just fine with no noise in the background. They are so well-rounded for listening to movies and music as they can pretty much sound good in whatever format you watching in. Controls are on the side of the cord allowing you to turn the volume up and down. Overall RIG 500 PRO HX are well-designed headphones and sound amazing during gameplay. You can’t go wrong with this price point and they just work fine. If you have a pair of these I don’t see the need of needing to upgrade for a while. Great product.
