I had Ring exterior cameras at my last place so when I moved to a condo and wanted more peace of mind for my cats when I'm out on errands, this was a no brainer. I love not having to charge an external battery. The video quality is strong and it's so easy to set these up on the App. Really like having a privacy cover so once I get home I can privacy without turning the camera around where I might forget it when I leave agin. Wish the cameras could tilt a bit more, but these work for me!

But we did open and test the pan/tilt/talk version. It worked well. Ring cameras are easy to set up on wi-fi through the app. We already have a Ring doorbell and chimes. The pan/tilt/talk camera was easy to set up on a remote location wi-fi and integrate into the ap environment, so I assume these would be also.

They provide very clear video quality and capture images very well. Ring solar panels, indoor cameras, and Pro Chimes have also worked great consistently. The Ring app offers many useful features, and their customer service and 24/7 technical support have been knowledgeable and helpful. The $9.99 monthly service plan is very reasonable, and their newer AI features have been excellent as well.

Great cameras for use in windows!

We had a couple windows that were ground accesible that we wanted to keep watch of in our home. These windows didnt have any external plugs nearby so we decided to find something to mount indoors. Luckily Ring has these cameras and we set them up very quickly and easily, just follow the steps on the app! There was even an option for setting them in front of a window. Pros: Small, good picture quality, easy install and easily manuevarable Cons: wish the power cord was a little longer, wish we could see 24 hour recording history but that may just be a Ring thing.

She’s 15 and we worry about leaving her for long periods now. Cameras are great. My only regret is I wish I would have gotten the ones that rotate and you can move them aroundle

Ring camera's best and easiest to set-up

I have multiple cameras (Ring and Blink) around my property and upgrade the Blink for Ring systems primarily for the recording option. I found it easier to manipulate and program Ring better than all the other brands I've tested. As an aside I'm a former IT Network/Cyber engineer.

Setup was quick and the video is clear enough for what I need. Privacy cover is a nice extra, but motion alerts can be hit or miss. Not perfect, but works fine for basic indoor security

It sounds like your Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen.) is not performing as expected. We would love the opportunity to share with you some troubleshooting steps that you can try to get your Ring Indoor Cam (2nd Gen.) functioning as intended. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the motion frequency to "Frequently."
Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling the "Smart Alerts" feature for people only in your Ring app. To enable "Smart Alerts," please follow these steps:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap "Devices."
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
Tap "Motion Settings."
Tap "Smart Alerts."
Tap "Enable Feature."
Tap "Continue."
Select the notification options that you want for "Person" and "Other Motion."
You'll see a video camera where you can select or de-select recording and a bell icon to represent alert notifications.
After you've adjusted your settings, tap "Done.

Great Cameras

I got them at a really good price on Black Friday. I have ADT as a Security system and I personally believe these cameras work better than those. The camera quality is fantastic and the size is perfect for where I placed them. I am really considering getting rid of ADT altogether and going all in with the Ring Security System now.

Lightweight with great performance

Much smaller than I expected, but they have great video and audio quality. Very easy to set up via the ring app. Only minor issue is that the cameras are so lightweight that they sometimes don’t stay where you want them since the weight of the USB charging cable tends to move the camera slightly after positioning it on a table.

I like the fact that the cameras are plug-ins and don't need batteries and that you can close the lense if you want privacy. Great value at agreat price. All my cameras are from Ring and will buy more.
