A: no subscription needed to use, but if you want video history storage its 4 bucks a month for 1 unit or 10 bucks monthly for unlimited units.
Q: Will the camera pick up outdoor activity if positioned inside looking out a window?
A: they don't recommend it for that but it does pick up motion thru glass
Q: How does it compare to Ring Stick-up camera? It costs only 50% . What features it doesn’t have?
A: Hi Robin. Good question. The main difference between the Ring Indoor Cam and the Ring Stick Up Cam is where you can place them and how they receive power. Indoor Cam is an indoor-only camera that plugs into standard power outlets for nonstop power. Stick Up Cam is a versatile camera that goes almost anywhere, indoors or out. Plus, it's weather-resistant and comes in 4 different power options: battery, plug-in, solar, and power over Ethernet. Q: How long is the power cord?
A: power cord about 48"
Q: is the privacy cover moved by manually or is it moved by the app
A: You have to move it manually.
Q: Is there a backup battery for when power goes out?
A: Hi Mary. Thanks for asking. No, the Ring Indoor Cam does not have a backup battery. The Ring Indoor Cam is a small, lightweight security camera with flexible mounting options specifically designed to be used indoors. It is powered using plug-in power with a 7-W USB-A power adapter. Q: Can I have two cameras at different addresses with the same payment plan?
A: Yes under the whole home plan you can control two or more devices with all features available to those specific devices. It’s still going to cost you $10 monthly even for the lower tier service without the “extras” that come with every other brands cameras, doorbells, lights, alarms etc etc. While some cameras have 24/7 recording they almost always have to be plug in devices or a battery device with a plug also!!! Just go with another service like BLINK for better cameras, better quality and cheaper yet better monthly subscription services!! Plus some cameras have built in storage on a micro SD card for local stationed which requires a complete extra device with RING!!
A: Don't really know. I would call Ring. You Ring app has your router information in the app I don't know if that transfers over to new location.

We have the Ring alarm system and different cameras around the house, and these pack is an addition for a couple of blind spots inside facing out. They are easy to setup, easy to use, I like how easy it is to just close the lid so it does not record once we are inside. I would like the change for the cable to be USB C but it comes with its cable so no big deal. It comes with the power adapter, cable and screws in case you need them. Overall the set works great, good value and they have been working well.

HD video, night vision, and two-way audio, Alexa integration, easy setup and great price. You can modify the notifications on your phone and it's got the motion detection which is great. Problem is that after the first month free trial is over, you lose the ability to record anything which means they kind of lose their point without the monthly sub. Having said that, if you're on a budget this is the best thing you can get IMO short of a full CCTV system at home. The new version has a physyical privacy cover you can toggle for your peace of mind.

Great set of cameras for the price. Great night time vision and good ability to set up anywhere you need. Also great to have the covers so you feel comfortable at home knowing you have all control of the cameras. Worth the money
