Easy to set up if you have 2.4ghz wifi, check that first. Otherwise everything was a breeze. App works well enough, although you will need a subscription for most features except for live video.

Great system, works well with Amazon Echo speakers

This is a very easy to set up system and I hooked it up to my Amazon Echo speakers and assigned a routine to tell me which door it open in which room. Very intuitive and has not let me down.

Good alarm system

My only con to this system is some times it loose connection to the WiFi which disables operation through the app but will recover in about 2 minutes. This do not stop the alarm function, but can be annoying at times.

Having a solid connection ensures you do not miss any activity around your home. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as intended. I'd like to share some network troubleshooting tips for Ring Alarm Base Station.
Check other wifi-enabled devices around your home to make sure the network is operating as intended.
If there have been any updates to your wifi network, password, equipment, or internet provider, confirm that network settings are accurate.
Unplug your router or modem and allow it to shut down completely, so all lights turn off. Plug the device back in, and allow your network to come back online.
Connect your Base Station directly to your router using an ethernet cable. Try multiple ports, and make sure the Ring Alarm is the only device connected via ethernet.

Ring alarm provides “peace of mind while away”

Finally got the Ring home alarm system and so happy I did, no worries leaving dogs home alone and adding I’m adding 2 smoke/carbon monoxide alarms compatible with Ring, only $41 a piece, peace of mind for $82, absolutely!!!! Geek squad guys installed everything and did a great job! Note, if you want installation select that when you buy your system. Requesting installation after you already purchased you will be charged jnstead of it being free with purchase.

Great home security ecosystem, insurance discounts

From box opening to arming the alarm system's sensors and testing. Not offensive looking sensors on doors and windows, keypad that is still nearly fully charged and hasn't been plugged in since the day after I brought it home. I discussed with our homeowners insurance and the discount they gave us on our insurance more than pays for the professional monitoring services... win win. I placed a few Echo dots around the garage and first floor - and they became part of the alarm system to listen for glass breaks. My ring doorbell became part of the system, too.
