It now seems to be working well. I did need professional installation at least for me. Unfortunately I could not use the Total Tech Support because in no way could I be be assured that the Geek Squad would do the installation. Having had a poor experience with the 3rd party company, I had to go elsewhere. The product needed a lot of tweaking to get it right which the Ring and their installers failed to do but with my own knowledge and persistence accomplished.

Feel safe and secure w our alarm system. We also have the Arlo cameras and ring door bell for added security.

Moatly happy with this. Would prefer additional modes as well as voice notifications(without alexa dot) but overall happy so far.

it does what a regular home alarm does. save money and provides same service.

Installed this to replace comcrap home security. So far so good. Easy set up, love all the customizable settings for each device. I have a doorbell 3 plus I’m going to add to it as well. For $10/month I’ll get all the same stuff I had with comcrap for $40 less. It’s SOOO worth it just to not have to pay them every month. If you’re going to opt for professional monitoring be aware that you’re most likely going to need a permit or be Subject to false alarm fines. Ring sends you an email if you do and it’s easy to fill out that info online and get the permit. My Purchase also came with the echo show 5 which wasn’t something I needed but was a good bonus value.

It would be better if I could use my Amazon Echo as an additional security camera I also wish that I could set it up with desk top PC. The device naming could easily be more intuitive and it would be very useful if it could make alarm calls on my landline and allow me to send patrol request to my local police department for alarms for times that I am out of town. It would also be nice if ring offered some open source sample interfacing programs. All in all this system is pretty easy to set up and seems to work well.
