    Excellent Contact Sensors!

The entire Ring Alarm system is fabulous, including the contact sensors. The sensors are easy to install with the provided double-sided tape, or screws. They are easy to integrate into your system by following the step-by-step guide in the Ring app. Start by clicking the "Add a device" link in the app and just follow the instructions. Afterwards, you can check on the status of any device installed through the app, including the battery life (it has a purported 3-year battery life--BTW: having batteries so that it is wireless makes installation so much easier. And it also means that the device will work even if there is a power outage. Just make sure that you have a battery backup device for your router and modem so your wi-fi will work even in a power outage. I use a CyberPower1500 which will power my router and modem for several hours during any power outage.) As far as value, I have found that Ring products cost the same no matter where you buy them, online, Home Depot, Best Buy, etc. But if you buy these sensors in a 6-pack you essentially get one for FREE. I have only found the 6-packs at Best Buy. The only reason I gave these sensors 4-stars instead of 5 is that I wish they were a bit smaller. Ultimately though, that is just a small gripe about an excellent product. Overall, I own 15 contact sensors in my Ring Alarm system (big house!), and they have all performed flawlessly thus far. Excellent products, backed by Amazon which owns Ring.

These guys are easy to install, run on a single battery for years, and are reliable. They could be smaller however and could use a button/option to bypass single sensors temporarily when you need to open the door for a second without disarming and waking everyone up (nest sensor has this function)

We really like our ring products. The sensors are easy to set up. Pull the battery tag, link it to your phone, stick it on the door/window. The noise the base station makes on opening/closing is customizable, but we really like the default sound. Some people say the sensors are a little big and I can see their point, but I didn’t have any problem with it and hopefully this means it’ll last longer because bigger battery = longer life.

Had this for 5 days and it’s been solid. The setup was very easy and flawless. The quality of the keypads and base station is nice. The keypads speak the status when activated and also serve as additional sirens. The base stations chimes are nice and loud as is the siren. The app has been responsive. This is a great deal especially when you factor in unlimited cameras with 60 days of saved video footage and 24/7 professional monitoring. My home insurance discount for a monitored alarm makes this basically free every month since this service is only $10 a month total no contract. The only negative so far is the lack of third party support, automations and geofencing. Also the door/window sensors are a little too large. I’ve tried Nest Secure which is more expensive equipment, $19 a month on a 3 years contract! Plus at least $8 a month for two cameras and 5 days of 24/7 footage. Also the monitoring does not include fire even if you have nest protects! The base station is not loud enough and you can’t use another base station or buy extra keypads or sirens. Also tried SmartThings/ADT system. Decent system but monitoring is $35 a month including fire. Automations are broken and Smartthings has been down a few times this year. You can’t buy multiple keypads or sirens so you just have the one.

Ring is a great product if you're considering a DIY security system. There's the option for professional monitoring if you so desire. These contact sensors are a bit big, but do the job well.

These ring sensors are huge compared to the ones I was replacing, however, once nestled in they are not unsightly and they work better than any of the other systems I have had. The pairing process is effortless and installation a breeze with the included kit. One star off for size, otherwise perfect so far

I’ve been very satisfied with the alarm system and love the fact that you can add to it at your own pace which is what I did with these two sensors. I am convinced once word gets out the ring alarm is going to put the other companies out of business. $10 a month for hundred dollars for the year for professional monitoring is unbeatable. The alarm itself does everything that you would want an everything every other alarm on the market does.

I've got about 10 of these around the house - the most recent was the one I put on my gun safe to make sure I knew if anyone accessed the safe when I wasn't around. Out of the 10+, I've only had one that was outright defective. I did have one that need to be reset - but you don't need to call customer service to do that, just follow the instructions on the app. Overall, it's a solid product and I would (and will likely) buy it again.

Works great with the original base station. They under and work well on every window and door I have, as I installed them with very little effort. However, they are a bit bulky and sometimes fall off when i close the windows and hit them Most recently, I tried the newer version with my original base station. Now that those are out, I would pay the extra fee dollars and go with the thinner profiled ones. No issue with them coming off. I wrote a review on those as well.

I bought this 2 pack of sensors to put on the master bedroom windows. I’ve had the Ring Alarm System for about 8 months now and absolutely love it! Not only was it easy to install, but its very user friendly but very secure at the same time. As for these sensors, they are so easy to install it isn’t funny! Plus, you can customize the notifications and chirp tones. I highly recommend!!!

These are just like the one's included with the Ring alarm system when you get it. They install the same way within the Ring app. They can be mounted with the included screws or with the included sticky tape. I will that one sensor fell off my back door when I moved it to re position it during install. The tape is meant to be pressed on and not moved. If you do need to re position it then just use a new piece of tape. I ended up getting a different and stronger double sided tape to use and just cut it to shape. No issues with it falling off now. None of my other sensors have had issue with the included tape though, so don't be afraid to use it. As a note, you must have the Ring alarm to use these sensors. They will not work with the Ring alarm base station.

I purchased additional sensors to go with my Ring Alarm system because the system I purchased had only 4 sensors and I needed more. The system immediately recognizes the sensors when activated making installation a breeze. They come with 2 sided tape & screws depending on your installation requirements. So far I am very happy with the Ring Alarm and it’s components.

I have a ton of cameras and now I recently bought the alarm system. In my opinion this system works fantastic for the price your paying. My father in law has ATD and pays huge monthly bills for his system. This is included with your subscription with Ring does the exact same thing ATD does and it is really easy to install.

I took a plunge and purchased a Ring Security System. I purchased a whole bunch of these sensors for all of my windows and doors. Once I installed and connected the first sensor, it took literally only thirty minutes to install 12 more. They provide both screws and 3M strips to mount each section of the sensor, and you can customize what sounds you hear when a window opens, or you can kill any sounds, period. You can also activate an instant alarm if certain doors or windows are opened. The amount of customization is fantastic, and we also know that we can take the whole system with us when we move out. Great value.

These are bigger than 2 of previous models I had with different companies. They work great though. No issues easy to install. Used 3m tape to install.
