Had to cut some of my door frame to get it to fit in correctly

One of the sensors would not connect during setup.

I had a Ring doorbell at my last house and was very happy with it, so recently purchased their security system. However given Ring's poor response after the hacking of their cameras, I returned this product, unopened. Ring is representing themselves as a security option for the DIY homeowner and yet apparently did not provide the homeowner the technical protocol needed to protect themselves when using a Ring device. And then when problems arose, Ring blamed the homeowner. I will look to find a better system/company for my security needs, one that provides a safe product and quality customer service.

the sensors are too fragile. The batteries do not last long. Sensors brak easily. A few sensors wouldn't connect right out of the box.

Only one works and they are difficult to install. I had to get popsicle sticks glued together and cut down to size to get it aligned.

These were bought to replace a faulty sensor. 1 of the new sensors does not work. This is getting frustrating.

The ring setup is pretty straight forward. That being said they provide subpar hardware. It can take several tries, resets and much frustration trying to get them to connect using Ring's own setup software. This latest piece will not connect at all. My "ease of use" rating below is in reference to the everyday use of the Ring system.

The contact sensors do not make a connection if your door has molding around it. I am working on my own solution but it seems Ring should have already figured this one out. Lots of postings on line with others having the same problem. If Ring is not responsive to something so basic makes me worry about the whole system.

To add these were so much of a hassle I tried to save a few bucks by not buying the gen2 and liked the fact they were much smaller than the gen2. Save yourself the time and hassle and just buy the gen2 which i stand by.

i bought this to put on windows. They have very small expalaintion on how to put on window they need to provide more detail for people dont know how to put it

Got these with the help of an employee but he failed to mention I needed to purchase the security system and couldn’t just hook it up to my phone.

They could improve these contacts drastically . Very poor quality . Don’t make them in China

Great way to finish up your RIng Alarm system as the 6 pack offers a slight savings over buying the sensors in pairs. As with all Ring sensors that I've purchased, installing and configuring them is extremely easy... a few taps, pull the battery tab and besides mounting it, you're basically done. They do what they do and they do it extremely well. Highly recommended!
