Good contacts, software buggy

Works well once setup and sometimes the battery life is sometimes 75% or lower sitting in storage.

The features and technology provided by the Ring Alarm Contact Sensor (2nd Gen.) are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the concern mentioned in your review.
It sounds like you are experiencing issues with the device in regards to setup process. The Ring Alarm Contact Sensor (2nd Gen.) allows you to expand your Ring Alarm system to secure each door and window in your home and get alerts as soon as they open. The Ring Alarm and all Ring Alarm accessories require a subscription for in-app features and digital notifications, including digital arming and disarming and integration with other Ring, Echo, Alexa, and third-party products. If a Ring Alarm Contact Sensor fails during setup, you may have to adjust the position of the magnet and sensor. Move the sensor closer to the magnet or in a more optimal alignment.

I thought it would be difficult as the ring system i bought had 6 sensors preprogrammed for setup. Just scanned the barcodes on these ....and voila! This review is for second generation sensors

It was very easy to set up and the Ring and or the Geek squad team is their to assist if needed.
