Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This was a replacement for one sensor which was part of a whole house Ring security system installation by Best Buy contractors several months ago. The two piece original was not installed properly. It was placed on the top of the door frame and the door, The frame piece kept collapsing below the level of the top of the door and blocked the door from shutting. The installer repaired by screwing the piece into the door frame (not an advised installation). Everything has worked ok since.

One sensor was a little far from the base station so I move the extender into the room this sensor was being installed and the sensor connected! These new sensors are a lot smaller than the ones that came with my ring alarm.

But naturally common sense woulda clicked in, that it just doesn’t work as we want. Needs more for it to sound.

Unfortunately, I needed additional sensors. I was able to purchase the bundled sensors at an awesome price at Best Buy!

Another EXCELLENT Ring product!

I have 15 of these on our Ring security system and get a instant notifications on my phone through the Ring app if any of them are tripped! Ring products are nice!

I have a motion sensor on my main level and lower level walk out. You can set them separately so when I’m home the lower level is protected and when I’m away both are set to on.

Few of these monitors will run out of battery quickly than others and not sure why only a few of them got impact when installed all of them at the same time.
