    I couldn't tell you anything about these as we bought them for a Christmas gift. Best Buy would not stop emailing about reviewing this, so here it is. You would think they woud know most things purchased between Thanksgiving and Christmas are more than likely gifts for someone else.

    I decided to go with the Ring system as I was tired of paying the high prices for a traditional system. These sensors work great and I needed a lot so this pack price really appealed to a cheapo like me. I had to buy a slim magnet for one of my smaller windows and the original contact worked well for this scenario.

    Had the first gen for years and it finally pooped out. Setup on this was easy and stable so far. I don't know if the Gen 1 had problems because this sensor opened vertically, but the Gen 2 is fine so far. As the other Gen 1 units die I will upgrade them with these.
