To connect well, the ring hub would have to move to our basement storage area which resulted in our other ring devices to not work reliably.

They are expensive and they are plain too simple. I wish the sensor has some temperature measurement and it sends the measurement to the Ring app to let me know what my basement and garage's temperatures are at a given moment.... Also be careful if you have Ring Protect Plus. These sensors somehow triggered phone calls from Professional service in the middle of the night. I thought I turned this off but someone they still triggered the unneccessary call....I took it off my garage in the winter for this reason...very annoying.
