Q: What control do I need for this to work?
A: You need the ring alarm system.
Q: Co I need to purchase anything else for this to work or will it just connect to my wifi?
A: They connect with Z wave to the Ring Alarm system. They do not work without the Ring Alarm hub.
Q: How long does this last before needing to replace battery?
A: I have 4 Ring leak detectors for almost 3 years now, I haven't replaced the batteries yet.
