This device has the best view along with the night vision. I definitely recommend this product. It’s Easy to install. Ensure that you install it so it can captures the entire view. From there, it’s like camera action.

Camera has a nice picture and is adjustable to what the camera sees. I have had this a little while now and have not had to charge camera yet. My only complaint is not with the camera itself but with ring making me pay a extra charge when I already have a ring spotlight/camera, I call that double dipping.

Better video quality plus new description features. A little more expensive than the last version but worth the money.

I replaced my older video doorbell with the new Ring Battery Doorbell Plus, and it’s been an excellent upgrade. Installation was straightforward and only took a few minutes since it’s battery powered. One feature I really appreciate is the removable battery pack. When it needs to be charged, I can simply use the tool that was provided to pull it out and plug it into a USB charger without having to take the entire doorbell off of the wall. The first thing I noticed was the improvement in video quality. The 2K resolution is noticeably sharper than my previous doorbell, making it much easier to recognize faces and see details even out in the street. The wider head-to-toe view is another nice improvement because I can see visitors from head to foot while also keeping an eye on packages left at the front door. I honestly didn’t think I’d use the zoom feature very often, but it has already come in handy when I wanted a closer look at the fox that crossed over our front lawn. The motion detection has been very reliable, and after spending a few minutes adjusting the motion zones in the app, I’m getting alerts for the things I actually want to know about instead of every car driving down the street. Notifications have also been very quick. Most of the time my phone lets me know someone is at the door almost immediately, giving me plenty of time to open the app and see who’s there. The Ring app is easy to navigate, and Live View connects quickly whenever I want to check outside. The two-way audio has been clear, making it easy to talk with delivery drivers or visitors even when I’m not home. Night vision has also impressed me. Even after dark, the picture stays clear enough to easily recognize who’s at the door. The only downside is that some of the best features, like saving video history and reviewing past events, require a Ring Protect subscription. It isn’t a dealbreaker for me because I like having those features available, but it’s something worth knowing before you buy. Overall, I’ve been very happy with this doorbell. Between the excellent video quality, reliable motion detection, fast notifications, simple installation, and easy-to-use app, it has been a noticeable upgrade over my previous video doorbell. If you’re looking for a battery-powered video doorbell that’s easy to install and performs well day and night, I would definitely recommend giving this one a look.

Bought this to replace an Arlo unit that failed after two years. App and camera view seems superior to Arlo. Still trying to get notification sensativity dialed in after installing a couple of weeks ago.

The new Ring Battery Doorbell Plus takes a step forward when compared to the previous version and also when compared with some other available brands. The main upgrade is the clear Retinal 2K resolution and the extended wide angle lens. The new upgrade minimize the blind spots and the fading focus that my old door bell used to have. Ring kept the same classic nice looking device but updated the hardware. Easy to install without the need of hard-wiring. I have installed it using a kit that allows mounting on the door as an addition. Main good features: - 2K resolution: as I mentioned above. The upgrade added Retinal 2K resolution that improved the facial features. Passing vehicles are better captured as well. - Wide angel: allowing an expanded field of view. It allows to see who is on your door and if they are carrying package or anything else. - Bigger video files: allowing a better zoom and improving night vision. The new Doorbell Plus has an up to 6x digital zoom with maintaining high night color vision to guarantee useful recording after dark. - Powered by batteries: Allowing a quick swap, easy install and more universal usage. It doesn't have to be only on your door! There are more ways you can use this doorbell. Replacing the batteries is made easy now since the pack is removable without removing the complete assembly. Not so good about it: - Well, the subscription requirement and features limitation... Without subscription, this doorbell is very limited. It is not about the $5/month but in general... - Battery consumption: When set for active motion detection and heavy use, the battery dropped fast. At the current rate, I will need to recharge the battery in couple month! Maybe a solar charger is a nice addition for this. I'd recommend getting this if you are sick with your old doorbell resolution and narrow angle. I can see that the connectivity range is also improved. I am not having coverage issues. It would work perfect if you are already in the Ring Eco-system with one subscription to cover them all. Ring should offer local storage option in an easy way. Overall, it's a great hardware upgrade if you're tired of narrow, grainy video, and Ring products usually last long enough to justify the spent money.

Great purchase overall! The battery was fully charged at 100%, but it only lasts about 10 days before needing to be charged again. Just something to keep in mind.
