The app is fantastic as it allows you to adjust notification settings, proximity alerts, and you always know when someone is around even if they do not ring the actual doorbell. The quality of the video is fantastic as well. Great added security feature for anyone and it won't break the bank.

Had to mount on brick which was tough but doable. Took several days for my wife to be able to access my account. Probably a cloud thing.

Decided to try the ring, and happy we did. Love getting the alerts and watching the videos. The picture is clearer than I expected. Haven't figured everything out yet, but I am an old lady who isn’t tech savvy.

The camera was broken, so I had to purchase a new one. The picture on this one is even better than my previous one. I highly recommend it. I was lost without it, until my new one was installed. Everyone should have one.

I would recommend getting the ring chime with it.

It was super easy to set up even more easier than the regular ring doorbell. HD clarity is great! You see full body pictures. Sound quality is excellent too. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.

Having a solid connection ensures you do not miss any activity around your home. We are here today to provide you with education to assist you in finding the best solution for your home’s environment.
It sounds like you experienced some connection issues with the device. Usually, devices falling offline repeatedly is related to poor wifi connectivity caused by signal fluctuations, channel congestion, or data loss.
To determine whether the problem is caused by poor upload speed, run a speed test to determine if your network can support Ring devices. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. Ring devices that show higher resolution video need faster internet. Your Ring device will adjust video quality based on your internet speed, but needs at least 2 Mbps to work for optimal performance.
A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable. Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI.
If your networking equipment hasn’t been power cycled in a while, try unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. Wireless networks utilize different channels for communication. In the United States, the 2.4 GHz band uses channels 1-11 and the 5 GHz band uses channels 36-165. In some cases, setting up your Ring device(s) can fail due to wireless interference or congestion.
We also recommend adding a Ring Chime Pro to your network. The Ring Chime Pro simply plugs into a wall outlet between your router and the Ring Battery Doorbell to assist with the wifi signal strength to the device.

Setup was super easy—took maybe 15–20 minutes, and the app walked me through everything step by step. The video quality is really good, even at night. I can clearly see who’s at the door, and the motion alerts are super helpful. I get notified the second someone walks up, whether it's a package being dropped off or just a neighbor saying hi. One of my favorite things is the two-way talk. I can chat with delivery drivers when I’m not home or tell someone to leave the package in a specific spot. It’s also great when I just don’t feel like opening the door.
