Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. The Ring Chime was intended to be a sleek wireless notification device that can connect to all of your Ring devices. You can also pair multiple Ring Chime units to one Ring Video Doorbell. Once connected to your Ring Video Doorbell, your Ring Chime will work anywhere it has a wifi connection.
Are you able to plug the device into the lower outlet plug? Changing the orientation of the device would allow you to still access the top outlet and use it for other electronics, if this device is too bulky for your outlet.
