It Works fantastic. Installer told me I would love it and he was absolutely correct. So far I am extremely satisfied with it! I think is one of the best cameras Ring has. Too bad it cannot be connected other than in exchange of your existing lights. However with that range and amplitude depending on the size of your home or business you will get an awesome amount of cover. I strongly recommended it. Hopefully it stay functioning like this for ever or for a consistent long time.

However I would recommend google nest cameras as a whole. The motion detection works ok but the limited filming time hamstrings it. Recordings often start after events have started and end before they finish resulting in a partial recording of what happened. The lack of a 24/7 record option on a wired camera kills the usability. Until ring provides a 24/7 record option I would go with the similarly priced nest system.

It sounds like your device is not detecting motion when you want it to. The Ring Floodlight Cam Plus Wired was designed to capture motions based on your specifications to help keep your home secure. To get the best range for motion detection, we recommend installing your device nine feet (three meters) from the ground.
The Ring Floodlight Cam Plus Wired offers advanced motion detection with customizable motion zones. Once you've set up your custom zones, you may want to adjust the motion sensitivity to fine-tune the area your devices cover. Higher motion sensitivity will increase the number of alerts you get.
Follow these steps to adjust the motion sensitivity slider in the Ring app:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left of the screen.
Tap Devices.
Tap the device you want to view.
Tap Motion Settings.
Tap Motion Sensitivity.
Adjust the motion-sensitivity slider.
Tap Save in the upper right.
