A quality product

The quality of the picture is excellent. What I have found difficult is adjusting the area of focusing that eliminates street traffic from the camera’s scope. Other adjustments work well.

Installation was straightforward and the video quality is strong for keeping an eye on the property. I like having both light and camera coverage in one device.

Its good at first, does not age well
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is an excellent product with a great microphone, very loud speaker, great connectivity with even better picture quality but after just over a year, the camera quality has been reduced to this. My property is east facing, and the camera is partially covered. I now have to buy another because it is essentially useless now. Hoping I’m not the only one who has had this issue and it has been fixed as time has gone on.

We would love the opportunity to share with you some troubleshooting steps that you can try to get your Ring Floodlight Cam Plus functioning as intended. If your device is unresponsive, try pressing and holding the reset button for 20 seconds. Follow the steps in the Ring app to reconnect the camera to your network. To reconnect a Ring Floodlight Cam Plus to your wifi network: Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (≡). Tap "Devices" and select the camera you'd like to reconnect to wifi. Tap the "Device Health" tile. Under "Network," tap "Change Network" and follow the prompts in the app. Allow some time for your device to fully reconnect to the network, then check your wifi signal strength in "Device Health" to confirm it has successfully reconnected.

My only complaint is the motion sensor on the lights comes on for no apparent reason. Its mounted above a sliding glass door and I think its either the reflections or the inside that triggers it. But that's just the light motion sensor, the software motion detection of the camera is great and doesn't trigger falsely. I can deal with it. The quality is good and easy to install.

We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. Floodlight Cam Wired Plus is an outdoor security camera designed to provide you with the ability to customize your Floodlight Cam's light settings in the Ring app. To adjust motion and light settings, follow these steps in the Ring app:
Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
Tap more (•••) on the camera you want to access.
Tap your device's Settings.
Tap Light Settings.
Choose the function that you wish to adjust:
Motion-Activated Lights: Toggle the switch to enable or disable automatic light activation when motion is detected at night. When enabled, the lights will turn on when motion is detected. Note: You can use the Linked Devices feature to trigger the lights when motion is detected (e.g., a motion at my front doorbell triggers the light on the garage Floodlight Cam).
Automatic Shut-off Timer: Tap to select the length of time (from 30 seconds to 15 minutes) that the lights will remain on when motion is detected.
Motion Zones for Lights: Tap ON or OFF on each pre-set zone to customize areas where motion triggers the lights to turn on.
Light Sensitivity: Use a slider to adjust the distance at which your lights will detect motion.
Light Brightness: Use a slider to adjust the brightness of your Ring camera.

I had a regular light fixture in my carport and I simply exchanged this for the ring floodlight camera. You need to check prior to using - if your wifi reaches the spot where the camera will be. Simply use your phone and stand where the camera will be and link to your wifi. I get notified when a physical person enters my carport - which is more often than I could have imagined!

Great Floodlight Camera for security!

I had previously installed a battery ring doorbell that did not pickup the intruder. The lighting is bright and covers their small backyard. The camera's viewing angle covers their backyard, detached garage and their neighbor's garage! I have it linked to the Amazon Echos' in their house and set it to alert them if a person is detected. This is also connected to their existing Ring alarm system. The quality of the recording is better than the ring doorbell they had in the back patio door. They feel safer now that this Ring floodlight is installed.

This light is very bright and the pictures are very clear and at night very bright where you can see the person or whatever very cleary

For a secure system only one person responsible with passcode.

Might be heavier than your existing light, so make sure it can support the weight. Motion detector works well too.
