4th Ring device. works great!

Goodbye unacceptable video quality and goodbye batteries. Switched to Ring and the upgrade is incredible. Ring is built better, offers more features, much easier to use and I installed this in under 5 minutes with the included guide. Ring includes everything you need for a perfect install including tools. Set up is super easy using the app and the is a Rapid Ring app when you just quickly want to see the live camera. Picture quality and field of view are far superior to Arlo and my other cams. I haven't tested out the Night Vision but if it's as other Ring owners have claimed

Could you get this cheaper from an off brand, yes. I like the ecosystem and ease of use and the price difference is worth it to me.

The reason it was more difficult is because I did not have electricity wires run to that side of my house. Once the line was run, it went smoothly. Set up was a breeze. The lights are bright without blinding me or my neighbors (that I know of) the range of the camera is awesome. I can position things how I want them and preset the times the lights come on and go off.

The features and technology provided by the Ring Floodlight Cam Plus are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We can definitely assist you with this today, and we are confident we can find the correct settings for your home’s environment.
It sounds like you have some concerns with the motion detection of your device. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. If you do not wish to receive notifications for motion events, simply toggle off the "Motion Alerts" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is picking up too much motion, we recommend lowering the "Motion Sensitivity" under the "Motion Settings" tab. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This also includes changing the "Motion Frequency" to "Regularly" or "Periodically" in the Ring app.
Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling the "Smart Alerts" feature for people only in your Ring app. To enable "Smart Alerts", please follow these steps:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap "Devices."
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
Tap "Motion Settings."
Tap "Smart Alerts."
Tap "Enable Feature."
Tap "Continue."
Select the notification options that you want for "Person" and "Other Motion."
You'll see a video camera where you can select or de-select recording and a bell icon to represent alert notifications.
After you've adjusted your settings, tap "Done."

This was a common issue with the 1st gen floodlights where the night time lens would get stuck and display pink during the day. All the resetting and customer support in the work would not fix it. NOW - This new floodlight cam is super clear, easy to setup, and also purchased the 4 year replacement with it (think about $35). this is the deal to get to save yourself paying another $250 for a new light/cam in the future. Return and replace (keep the box just in case)

I keep buying more - theyre just so useful! I had one in front and one in back, but its so convenient just to add more and get around the corners.
