newer, with more plastic

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the old ring floodlight, and may want a floodlight pro just to compare, but this floodlight is noticeably not as well built as the old ones. - image quality is the same, the camera offers more in the way of setting up alert zones, but the housing looks cheaper (I say cheaper, but it's actually easier to adjust, it just doesn't have the o-ring-screw to fix the light position and the housing is a lot more plastic forward).

Returned because of cancelled installation

I bought it to cover and secure the side and back of my house but the original installation was cancelled for some reason and I was not available for the reschedule. I’m sure I would have been very happy with this light.

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wish these had better video quality and frame rates, but then I guess it would take a lot more bandwidth to store videos with the cloud service. Once in a while they don’t detect motion sense or there is a delay. I got mine professionally installed because I didn’t want to mess with electrical wires. But hopefully the technology progresses to have better quality cameras then all I will have to do is replace them.

It was great being able to check in at home. The alerts were very helpful. We are very happy with our purchases.

I’m not tech savvy but wish there were more definition in the video so you could identify license plates. I could be using it wrong. Overall it’s still really good.

Everything from set-up to monitoring is simple and straight forward. I liked my first Floodlight cam so much I decided to purchase another to monitor a second property.
