    DON'T BUY GEEK SQUAD SERVICES

    THIS IS MY SECOND ATTEMPT TO PURCHASE THESE WIRED CAMERAS AND HAVE GEEK SQUAD INSTALL THEM. MADE APPT FOR 11/27 AND A WEEK LATER GET AN EMAIL TELLING ME THEY ARE COMING 11/8. (NO ONE IS HOME) CALLED AND WAITED ON HOLD FOREVER TO BE TOLD THAT I CANNOT HAVE MY SCHEDULED APPT FOR 11/27 SO I HAD TO PAY SOMEONE TO SIT AT MY HOUSE FOR THE RESCHEDULED APPT ON 11/13 BETWEEN 1-8 PM. 8PM COMES AND GOES AND NO ONE SHOWS. 1/2 HOUR LATER THE THIRD PARTY COMPANY CALLS AND HAD AN EARLIER ISSUE. THEY SAY THEY WILL COME ON 11/26. NO UPDATE IN MY ACCT FOR THE APPT SO I AM CALLING EVERY 3-4 DAYS AND EACH TIME TOLD THAT THEY WOULD RESEARCH BUT CANNOT SEND ANYONE UNTIL MID DECEMBER. THANK GOD THE THIRD PARTY INSTALLERS KEPT THEIR WORD AND CALLED ME ON 11/26. THEY CAME OUT AND COMPLETED THE JOB WITH NO HELP FROM THE GEEK SQUAD. THIS WAS ONE OF THE WORST EXPERIENCES OF MY LIFE. NO ONE AT BEST BUY CARED, THEY PROMISED COMPENSATION AND A CALL BACK THREE TIMES. NO ONE CALLED. AND NO COMPENSATION WAS GIVEN FOR THEIR AWFUL SERVICE. WILL NEVER USE GEEK SQUAD AGAIN INFACT I AM CANCELLING MY TOTAL TECH MEMBERSHIP. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING BEST BUY SERVICESD

    Bad choice/poor customer service

    This has been one of the worse purchases. First of, during the set up the Ring app kept telling me the device was already set up under some eles's account, even though the box appeared to be sealed when I purchased it. I contacted Ring and they gave me 2 options, to take it back to the store and get a new device or provide them a photo of the ID on the back of the camera and provide proof of purchase, because the camera had already been professionally installed I opted for the second option. Once I was able to set it up under my account, the camera worked fine during the day, once it got dark outside the camera completely died. The next day, the camera worked again just fine, but again, when it got dark the camera died. Electricians returned to verify there were no issues with power and after a few days of this, the camera just died completely, day and night. Ring does not offer any options to deal with this over their online chat, I have already been on the phone twice for over 1 hour each time trying to get a replacement but I still have a camera up on my drive way (just for the looks). Ring has blamed the issue on several things from faulty power to poor wifi connection, however all of my other devices work perfectly and the electricians have already verified proper power.

    Great addition to security and improving the light area. Only thing it keeps getting disconnected from WiFi and that makes it irritating

    It works really well, but I wish there wasn’t a delay. But that’s a wifi issue. But now I know whenever a squirrel runs across my driveway.

    Love these lights. I have not bought cameras for my home n needed flood lights. Video Quality excellent. Alot of cameras have blurry view not this one.

    It doesn't okay job. My only complaint is the video is not as clear as I would like. But other than that I like it.

The features and technology provided by the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus are incredibly valuable and help provide you with peace of mind about your home security. We want to ensure your device is working as intended by providing you with solutions to resolve the video quality concern you mentioned in your review.

      It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. Ring devices require high-speed internet to bring you crisp, clear video and audio. Poor network connectivity can affect the performance of your Ring device. We are happy to share some troubleshooting steps to help you diagnose and fix common video issues that you may experience with Ring doorbells and cameras.

      Ring devices with 1080p video require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable.

      Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI. Turn off your mobile device's cellular data and connect to the same wifi network as your Ring device. Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (☰). Tap “Devices.” Select your device. Trigger an event on your Ring device. This could mean pressing the button on a doorbell or activating the motion sensors on a camera. Answer the event and examine the resulting video.

      We have listed some possible outcomes from this test here:

      1. The footage is crisp and clear.

      If your video appears good when next to the router, the issue may be caused by a disruption in between your router and your Ring device’s normal location. To fix this, try moving your device closer to the router or extending your wifi signal with a wifi extender like the Ring Chime Pro.

      2. The footage is heavily pixelated.

      If you’re seeing heavy pixilation, even next to the router, this may be due to slow wifi speeds.
