The light this unit produces is excellent, and the tweaking which can be done via the application is the best I have found. Will be purchasing additional ones for other areas of the house.

They work great and have already scared away porch pirates.

Download ring app on your phone, it’s easy to set up where you are able to see what’s going at your home while you away from home.

This will cost you about 5 bucks a month or so to activate ----so it will work above and beyond what ring doorbell costs..... Cheep security. Your on your own though---- if threat appears on your doorstep(.357 mag required to assist in event of breach) Reality Bites! LOL

It sounds like you are concerned with the need for the Ring Home Plan subscription. The Ring Home Plan provides valuable capabilities, such as accessing paid features and the ability to save, download, and review footage captured by your Ring device. Without a Ring Home Plan, you can still view real-time video for Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events.

Another Great Ring Device

Out of the box to full use in less than 10 minutes, tops. Needed a software update which it downloaded and installed itself. Really one of the easiest products to install. Mounting was easy.

The only this far is there is a couple of second delays when it detects someone the person might be gone by the time you want to speak on microphone. But it doesn’t bother me because recording is good and you can always rewind to see who activated the motion sensor. Overall not bad it does it’s job. I do recommend this product it has really good features that I love. Despite the couple second delay

We are confident we can find a solution that works well for you and your home’s environment.
I would be happy to address your concern regarding the issue that you are experiencing with the delay in motion detection of your Ring Floodlight Cam Plus. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This includes increasing the "Motion Sensitivity" and setting "Motion Frequency" to "Frequently" in the Ring app. To optimize your motion zones and ensure that the device will detect accurately, please follow these steps:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap Devices.
Tap the relevant device.
Tap Motion Settings.
At the top, tap Edit Zones or scroll down to tap Camera Motion Zones.
To adjust an existing Motion Zone: tap the Zone you want to adjust, then drag the points of the Zone to do so. Tap Save.
To add a new Motion Zone: tap Add Zone and drag the points of the Zone. Tap Save.
Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling Smart Alerts for people only in your Ring app.
To enable Smart Alerts:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
Tap Devices.
Tap the device that you want to adjust.
Tap Motion Settings.
Tap Smart Alerts.
Tap Enable Feature.
Tap Continue.
Select the notification options that you want for Person and Other Motion.
You'll see a video camera where you can select or de-select recording and a bell icon to represent alert notifications.
After you've adjusted your settings tap Done.

Highly recommend

You can read the paper instructions, but the app also has a video on how to do it. You dont need to he an electrician to swap out a regular light or flood light.

I absolutely love it..

We have this unit working perfectly for almost 2 months now and it also linked to my other flood light facing each other so basically both lights do cover 360 degrees area of my backyard.
