    I do not like ring because if you buy you must to pay to ring to record in your camara p0lus it is very expensive

    Poor Quality and Even Worse Customer Service

    Expect to only get 4 years out of Ring products before you need to replace them. For as expensive as these products are, the quality is definitely not there. Our Ring products only lasted 4 years MAX before the protective lens failed. When we reached out to Ring about our problem they were quick to disregard our problem, send us a link to a FAQ page, and then disconnect from the customer support chat quickly. Ring is quick to sell you products that won't last and do nothing for their customers when their products fail prematurely due to manufacturing issues. Do yourself a favor and invest in a Nest system instead.

    Motion activated lights dont work

    I have installed a bunch of the ring floodlight cameras and never had any issues. But this floodlight cam plus has a issues with the motion for the lights. It stays on and never goes off. I have tried rebooting multiple times, hard reset, and removed and added back to the account. Everything ense works good but the motion on and off for the lights

We recommend that you follow these steps to toggle off and on the switch for "Motion-Activated Lights" in the Ring app: Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (☰). Tap "Devices." Select the Ring Spotlight Cam Pro that you want to adjust. Select "Device Settings." Select "Light Settings." Toggle off and on the switch for "Motion-Activated Lights." Select the "Automatic Shut-off Timer" and choose the appropriate shut-off time. In that same section you can also adjust the "Motion Zones for Lights" to ensure that you have them extended to the appropriate area.

    Not worth the hype

    The camera is good quality -- but the problem is that it never sees cars pulling INTO the driveway, it just catches them on the way out! The camera skips in 3 sec intervals, which makes it unable to catch a car pulling in. I have adjusted the area viewed to the max, and it still doesn't get the whole driveway. $199 is a lot for motion sensor driveway lights!

      Hi Swan, it's important to get your Floodlight Cam Plus set up in a way that works best for you. Motion detection can be impacted by various factors, including the height and angle of the Floodlight Cam, as well as the wifi signal strength. The Floodlight Cam Plus should be mounted a height of around 9 feet with the motion sensor parallel to the ground. Having your Floodlight Cam mounted too high or low can impact the motion detection.     since i bought it i had to call support 10 times and they kept giving me different reasons of not working they said to take it back and get another one very poor customer service i would think twice befor being it until they can give better support

    Rings are great (‘though lots of critters appear!)

    Our insurance company required a remote camera for a second house. We have Rings in our primary house and have not been disappointed in these new ones. It gives us a great view of “what’s going on”—which can be deer, coyotes, and flies! All good.

    A little more complicated setting up than the Spotlight Cam version. Also it produces darker video quality than I would have preferred. Get the Spotlight Cam instead!

    This is the best system ive used with my apple and alexa smart home. Great customer service and its only $100 for a one year subscription for all my ring devices. This added effortlessly with my other 4 floodlights around my home.

    The motion sensor for this product is less than impressive. I have adjusted the "zones" time and time again and I still receive motion alerts even when nothing is there. I have turned off motion alerts and only use this as a floodlight because the capabilities are insufficient.

      It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to person detection. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. If you are receiving too many false motion alerts, we recommend decreasing the "Motion Sensitivity" under the "Motion Settings" tab in the Ring app.

      Accuracy in motion detection can also be improved by enabling the "Smart Alerts" feature for people only in your Ring app. To enable "Smart Alerts," please follow these steps:
      Tap the menu (≡) on the top left.
      Tap "Devices."
      Tap the device that you want to adjust.
      Tap "Motion Settings."
      Tap "Smart Alerts."

    Wrong cameras were sold to me. The installer would not install the cameras. My refund was held up because of lack of communication between the Highland, IN store and the Homewood, IL store.

      It sounds like the device is not performing as expected. Ring devices require high-speed internet to bring you crisp, clear video and audio. Poor network connectivity can affect the performance of your Ring device. We are happy to share some troubleshooting steps to help you diagnose and fix common video issues and delays that you may experience with Ring doorbells and cameras.

      Here are some examples of video quality issues:
      Overexposed, washed-out videos: Washed-out videos may be due to overexposure to sunlight.
      Poor wifi signal strength: A decline in wifi signal strength may be caused by a weak connection between the router and your Ring device.

      Traveling signal strength: This may be due to a wifi dead zone in your home where you lose signal strength between the router and your Ring device.

      Ring devices with 1080p video require at least 1 Mbps upload and download speeds, though 2 Mbps is recommended for optimal performance. In addition to ensuring that you have sufficient wifi speeds, you will also want to check the signal strength of your device. A poor wifi signal can cause connectivity with your Ring device to be unreliable.

      Check the Device Health section of your Ring application to ensure the device’s RSSI is within an acceptable range. The recommended range for optimal performance is 0 to -60 for the RSSI. Turn off your mobile device's cellular data and connect to the same wifi network as your Ring device. Open the Ring app. Tap the menu (☰). Tap “Devices.” Select your device. Trigger an event on your Ring device. This could mean pressing the button on a doorbell or activating the motion sensors on a camera. Answer the event and examine the resulting video.

      We have listed some possible outcomes from this test here:
      Footage is crisp and clear: If your video appears good when next to the router, the issue may be caused by a disruption in between your router and your Ring device’s normal location. To fix this, try moving your device closer to the router or extending your wifi signal with a wifi extender like the Ring Chime Pro.

      Footage is heavily pixelated: If you’re seeing heavy pixilation, even next to the router, this may be due to slow wifi speeds.
      Severe pauses in live video: If your video pauses, stutters, or gets frozen and your wifi speed meets the minimum standards, try rebooting your router. Unplug your router, wait 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. It should take three to four minutes to reboot. Then, test your Ring device again and see if there's any difference.

      Long delay before your video starts: This is also caused by slow wifi speeds. Assuming you have high-speed internet, reboot your router and the mobile phone, tablet, or PC you're accessing the video feed on. Then, see if there's any difference when it's back on line.

      The floodlights are divided up into three 90-degree zones that can be independently turned on or off and the distance adjusted to customize the area that will trigger the lights to turn on. The camera can also have its motion-sensing area customized through the Ring App, and can cover up to three different zones. The combination of these different customizable zones gives you complete control over the area you wish to cover with your Floodlight Cam.     Didn't last 20 days

    Got it hung up, started working. After 2 weeks the one light looked burnt out. Got up there and found that both lights were filled with water. Took it down and back to Best Buy and told we had to go through Ring because we were 2 days past their 15 day warranty. Should have just gone through Ring to start I guess. Ring is replacing, but a hassle to call, send proof, then have to wait for them to ship and send back the defective one.

    Camera, after two years started to loose its color, now 1/2 B&W. Must purchase video storage.

    I bought this and it was too sensitive going off all the time and then I could not stop it from capturing animals. Took it back.
