I was impressed enough with the first that i purchased a 2nd for the other side of my home. The price was reasonable, the quality of viewing is great, installation was easy

Okay video quality- not great, struggles in sunlight ( previous gen model was better). Subscription is required for viewing previous recordings (2 months) which I am okay with but wish it supported a sd card for local storage to reduce reliance on internet connection for times when there is internet outage from ISP or when Ring has AWS/cloud issues (they have had a few).
I would recommend this to a friendRing Wired Camera and Lights…Security at a price.

It was well packaged and installation and setup were easy. But, like all of the Ring devices i have bought, it is expensive when compared to the competition…do i get what i paid for? Probably. It does irritate me that I have to pay a monthly fee for them to save videos. I may shop around…

Versatile and affordable motion light with camera.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When on sale (often) a wired Ring camera light is not much more expensive than a good, generic motion light and Ring probably does the best job of of creating a consumer installable device. If you have the location pre-wired and a wireless network, it's very easy to install and operate. Good lighting, camera performance, and software environment. Only detraction is the need for a circular junction box (purchased separately).

Download the ring app and answer a series of questions. The unit itself is built very well and has allot of features. The video is crystal clear and you can do fine adjustments to the features via the app.

I followed the instructions and had it installed on my first attempt within a time span of 5 to 10 minnutes. Once installed you simply flip the camera down and around so the logo is at the top. Then you simply point it in the direction you want to capture your video. At first i thought you had to use the app to make the flood lights activate. But I was wrong. You use the app if you want the flood lights to stay on for a period of time. Then you us the app to turn the floodlightse off. Once off the lights will remail off until the camera detects movement and the floodlights turn on to show what's causing the movement. When compared to other market options this camera was the best buy of the bunch.

Was worried about the lights at first but they are very bright and get the job done. Ring app as lots of other customizable options too.
