We have a Ring doorbell, but due to the construction of our home, the camera in the doorbell does not reach the driveway and garage. The aforementioned floodlight and camera make up the difference.

You can change the settings to people only so there are not a million alerts for animals etc. If you would like to keep your recordings pay the monthly / annual subscription through ring.

Wiring and box was there… just needed screw in the adapter plate, connect the wires (after turning off the breaker), screw in the Ring floodlight and power up. Set up was easy in the app as well.

Works exactly as I expected from everything I read. Only thing I would change is to let the camera be positioned in a more flexible manner. You can adjust it up/down but not left/right.

It is very bright and i especially love the fact that i have the ability to turn it off and on when I'm in bed, at work, or on the go. The camera feature gives me peace of mind when I'm away or inside my house. Im able to sleep better knowing that i can see and record the front part of my property without having to step outside.

Installing the light was pretty easy, But if your not DIY inclined call a electrician. The cam is great even at night, everything is clear.
