Very reliable and good camera function. I was away and was able to communicate with the police who had been called to my house when a worker showed up to do a repair without me home.

This was a very wise investment of our home with quick and easy install and ability to view/record daily monitoring to the front, garage, and back of our property.

We understand how important it is for your device to detect motion consistently and reliably. The Ring Floodlight Cam Plus is designed to detect motion based on your specifications so that you are notified of all motion events that matter to you. We would love the opportunity to work with you to get your device performing optimally for your home's environment.
It sounds like you have some concerns with your device's motion detection. If your device appears to be missing a lot of motion, you may want to check the motion frequency setting. The motion frequency control allows you to reduce alerts from repetitive patterns of motion or increase alerts so you get notified about the motion events that matter to you.
Follow these steps to adjust the motion frequency:
Tap the menu (≡) on the top left of the Dashboard.
Tap Devices.
Select the device you'd like to adjust.
Tap Motion Settings.
Tap Advanced Settings.
Tap Motion Frequency.
Select Frequently, Regularly or Periodically.
Frequently: Motion detection always stays active. Shortest battery life.
Regularly: Motion detection takes a short break after each Motion Alert. Medium battery life.
Periodically: Motion detection takes a longer break after each alert. Maximum battery life.
Tap Save in the upper-right corner.

Just didn’t realize there is a monthly fee to rent storage just to see events that occurred a minute ago. Also if you have a short driveway like me the street traffic can trigger the light sensor.

Great addition if you already have Ring products.

I had another spotlight fail after only 2 years. They don't always pick up motion (a car pulling into my garage has been missed several times).

The setup was easy and connecting to the Ring app and my home's system. The lights are incredibly bright so I recommend turning down the brightness.
