Simple replacement for an existing yard light (just remember to keep the switch in the on position for it to work all the time). Video is very clear and light brightness is adjustable using the app!

I was impressed enough with the first that i purchased a 2nd for the other side of my home. The price was reasonable, the quality of viewing is great, installation was easy

Okay video quality- not great, struggles in sunlight ( previous gen model was better). Subscription is required for viewing previous recordings (2 months) which I am okay with but wish it supported a sd card for local storage to reduce reliance on internet connection for times when there is internet outage from ISP or when Ring has AWS/cloud issues (they have had a few).

My Mom fell in the backyard (while we were not home). The camera allowed us to see how the fall happened, stay talking with her why the paramedics were coming to the home (through the camera). I even spoke with the fireman through the camera and they were able to direct us to the hospital they were headed too. Even though we were not home, I was able to stay updated and informed to help her.

It was well packaged and installation and setup were easy. But, like all of the Ring devices i have bought, it is expensive when compared to the competition…do i get what i paid for? Probably. It does irritate me that I have to pay a monthly fee for them to save videos. I may shop around…

Download the ring app and answer a series of questions. The unit itself is built very well and has allot of features. The video is crystal clear and you can do fine adjustments to the features via the app.

This one replaced my rear door to the garage, its new location, only about 8 feet high, allows the area of coverage to be easily changed manually by just using a step stool.
