I installed first on back patio. Took maybe 10 minutes to install not knowing for sure how to. 2nd will take about 5. The videos are pretty clear, the night can get a little fuzzy at times but overall don't think you can get much better

Thanks to the Ring camera's motion alert that has stopped. Set up is so easy, the picture is crystal clear and there are so may settings to suit your lifestyle. I have mines hard wired, no issues at all.

The lights keep flashing randomly or they go on for no reason. Also will go offline for days at a time and then suddenly reconnects to the internet. The fact that I am going to have to pay an electrician to come out and install a new one is a PAIN!! Only comes with one year warranty.

We understand how critical it is for your Ring Floodlight Cam Plus lights to activate on meaningful motion events so that you can keep an eye out for any activity around your property. The Ring Floodlight Cam Plus was designed to activate based on your specific needs. We can definitely assist you with this today to ensure your Ring device is performing optimally, and the proper settings are chosen within the Ring app.
It sounds like your device is not operating as intended in regards to the lights activating. The lights on the Ring Floodlight Cam Plus have a 270 field of view, while the camera has a 150 degree field of view. The lights can be triggered by motion within a wider area than what the camera captures or records. Motion detection range on Ring devices is up to around 30 feet with the motion sensitivity slider at the maximum level. We also recommend mounting the device at 9 feet above ground level for optimal performance.
If the lights are turning on and off when they should not be, adjust your motion and light settings. Lower the light sensitivity and change the motion zones for lights to only cover the areas you need.
To adjust motion and light settings, follow these steps in the Ring app:
Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
Tap more (•••) on the camera you want to access.
Tap your device's Settings.
Tap Light Settings.
Choose the function that you wish to adjust:
Motion-Activated Lights: Toggle the switch to enable or disable automatic light activation when motion is detected at night. When enabled, the lights will turn on when motion is detected.
Motion Zones for Lights: Tap ON or OFF on each pre-set zone to customize areas where motion triggers the lights to turn on.
Light Sensitivity: Use a slider to adjust the distance at which your lights will detect motion.
You can also try pressing and holding the setup button on the top of the camera for 20 seconds. Follow the steps in the Ring app to reconnect the device to your network.
To reconnect a Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Plus to your wifi network:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (≡).
Tap "Devices" and select the camera you'd like to reconnect to wifi.
Tap the "Device Health" tile.
Under "Network," tap "Change Network" and follow the prompts in the app.
Allow some time for your device to fully reconnect to the network, then check your wifi signal strength in "Device Health" to confirm it has successfully reconnected.

I installed on top my garage. This gives me perfect view of the side of my house and lighting at night whenever there is any movement. You can configure it to area of monitoring. Quite happy with this product

It’s so simple to install and to set up the app. It sends out instant ring to your phone if it picks up anyone around your house. You can play around with the settings to have it exactly how you line it. Overall no other camera beats this for the price!
